He's basically wasting his therapists time (and his own) because he's unwilling to talk about his real problems and mental health issues. Especially his Schizo "I believe I'm an all-powerful anime goddess who can travel to a cartoon universe filled with Sonic rip-offs and My Little Ponies" delusions. He knows that if he starts talking about that shit then his therapist will tell him he is mentally ill and everything he believes is untrue, and Chris is incapable of entertaining such a hard and hurtful truth. He will expend all the effort he must to avoid reality and hearing the truth when he knows it will hurt. So while his therapist can probably tell Chris is mentally unwell, there's no way they can know exactly what is wrong with him (aside from the obvious Autism) until he opens up to them.

I think it's interesting that Chris knows to employ subterfuge when dealing with doctors and therapists. Some would say that that proves he knows its all fake, but I don't think so. He's been seeing therapists and social workers of some kind for 30 years, he's been playing along longer than most of them have been practicing. I think to a degree he knows what to say and what to hold back, I mean shit, some fucking quack even signed off on his identity issues and gave him a brand new gender some tubes of titty salve.
@Marvin even says that he enjoys going because they have to listen to him for an hour. That's a little treat for his narcissistic tendencies.

I think it's because he thinks since Chris isn't at a convention setting, that his private life shouldn't be captured because of his "celebrity." Plus, Chris' reply states that he would have prefered the person who took the picture address him first.

Only if the individual was a employee or otherwise considered a "covered entity." HIPAA protects PHI disclosure for medical practices, insurers, maybe vendors, and whatnot. If an employee posted a picture of Christine, then it could be a violation. Another person doing it probably violates rules of the facility, but it cannot be a HIPAA violation as the legislation does not extend to regular people. If it did, this thread would violate HIPAA.
He is terrible at manipulation. He thinks he can convince people, but lacks emotion besides anger (is lust an emotion?). He clearly puts on a guise of being sad or scared, but it does not come off as natural, so his ploys do not work. If he was good at manipulation, he would not need money all the time. Good scam artists can land tens of thousands of dollars at one time. Chris get a few hundred from well-meaning dummies and other autists.

To be fair, I'd rather listen to Chris ramble on about interdimensional ponies and CPU goddesses than a loser like Bryan Silva who's only there on a court order.

Eh, it isn't that big of a deal. Even little kids will know to keep their mouths shut and not offer up information that they assume will get them in trouble or result in something upsetting or unpleasant happening to them. And Chris is basically a 5'10" 260lb eight year old. Chris keeping his Schizo delusions to himself when visiting his head shrinker doesn't make him some devious super genius.

I just think its interesting that he can go on twitter one second and spout nonsense about inter-dimensional travel, then the exact same day dummy up in a therapist setting. All while dressed like a 1986 era Debbie Gibson. That's the interesting part to me, certainly not genius, that with all that going on he can go to therapy and be like "nah I'm fine, dawg. You validate parking here or at the front desk?".
