A huge number of the cows and communities discussed here are basically defined and motivated by politics. Even the ones who aren't constantly bring it up. Hamber uploaded a BLM video on the very same day she announced she had FUCKING CANCER. There is no such thing as getting away from politics right now (aside from just shutting the site down) it sucks but it is what it is. This section of the site is a release valve. If you remove the valve, the energy won't dissipate, it will just be redirected elsewhere and you'll end up with people sperging about BLM, trannies, the bad orange man, da jooz, and whatever the fuck else in the standalone cow threads instead of coming down here to do it.
people dont get the old internet is dead, you cant just artificially lull people back into not caring about issues. or barring that from pretending to care to escalate. Antics then were borne from a forced feigned nihilism (that wasnt even that apolitical if you remember racists and right wing authoritarians were a favorite target and even Zoe participated in lighter trolling forums) and effected some retard, now antics have ripples that sometimes effect several media outlets and popular culture. Its hard to go from some shitpost causing people to swarm CNN and their profits to back to some mild trolling in a hotel mmo.
