"Tencent Holdings Ltd. and Ubisoft Entertainment SA's founding Guillemot family are considering creating a new venture that would include certain Ubisoft assets as they seek to boost the French video-game company's value, people familiar with the situation said. The Chinese technology firm and the Guillemot family are evaluating which assets to include in a new entity and their valuation, the people said, asking not to be identified because the deliberations are private. A potential deal would allow Tencent to own a stake in the venture and gain more control over some of Ubisoft's intellectual properties, while boosting its video game business outside of China, the people said. Deliberations are ongoing and no final decisions have been made, the people said. A representative for Tencent declined to comment. A spokesperson for Ubisoft referred to the company's Jan. 9 announcement, when it said it had appointed advisors to review and pursue various options to boost value, declining to comment until that process has been completed. Bloomberg News reported in October that Tencent and the Guillemot family were speaking with advisers on ways to stabilize Ubisoft and bolster its value after its share price plunged. A buyout was one of the options under consideration, people familiar with the matter have said."

You guys see Kangmin Lee cause a mass chimpout a few days ago with a single joke about black people beating up asians over the delay announcement for Shadows?

I REALLY hope the game adapts the chapter of Lockleys book where Nobunaga fucks Yasuke in the ass and completely shatters whatever retarded fantasy these race hustlers built up in their minds about Le Gigachad Black Samoorai.

Has Ubisoft made a good game in the past decade? Rayman Legends is the only thing that comes to mind and that’s over a decade. On that basis, I’ll be glad when Floyd-sama’s game chokes out the last remaining life of this husk of a studio - it’s good for the industry when garbage is purged.

Ghost Recon Wildlands is a very comfy coop game.

I'd feel better if it weren't for that fact that Driver: San Francisco was completely delisted and is effectively lost media now. Not content with fucking up their future games, Ubisoft seems determined to make sure I can't even enjoy the good old ones without jumping through hoops.
You can get all Driver games here. They're pretty much abandonware at this point.

This is the same story with Thomas Lockley and what he says to Japanese people and what he says to the West. Different people are receiving different narratives. This is insidious.
It's insidious and very very mercantile. Smacks of western pozzed devs removing the fag flags in spiderman to appease the middle east, but forcing it on everyone else... Really tired of that shit.

In reality she is just a snowgoblin.
FIFY.

Based, thanks. Fingers crossed downloading a 4GB zip from a random Google Drive ends well.
The Japanese have some interesting historical lore Ubisoft could throw into AC involving a yokai from Japan

Being Ubisoft they'd be more likely to have you collect 600 cucumbers scattered across the map to give to a Kappa. Of course you could always skip that and pay $30 to instantly unlock the Yasuke Kappa Cosmetic Bundle.

The only really good games they make nowdays are Anno. I personally enjoyed that Rainbow Six Extraction game when I played beta of it, altho that's me never trying out Siege, so for all I know people who played that game would hate it. Come to think of it, everyone seems to hate it, but I think that's because they hate Ubisoft and because it's a glorified mod for Siege, so it's DOA no matter how good or bad it really is. Other than that, no, it's all open world slop or embarrassing shit like "Riders Republic"
Fun fact, I tried looking up a review of this one, and it's all 10/10s from obvious paid shills, ala Gman. This is the only legit review of the game I could find. Same goes for some EA titles like the yearly Need For Sneed games.

That's not the only brutal joke he made. He made a similar joke the first time it got delayed. I don't remember his exact words but it was the "delay it forever" tweet.

And although it's a joke, at the same time it's not a joke. See his YouTube channel to see what I mean.

Far Cry 5 was good but the franchise went to shit pretty much immediately after it.
