That's not a deal breaker for me. Having the full assault mode available is fine as long as the stealth element isn't compromised. You could bash doors and blast people away with the shotgun attachment in Chaos Theory, and that was fine. Conviction was just so damn lazy and scaled it back, probably because the original concept had him using hobo stealth.
you can still go full ghost (even have to for the path or whatever it's called). one reason I though the backlash was stupid. maybe the rest of the SC players had already checked out at that point.
It's inevitable that I will try out Breakpoint because of how much I'm enjoying playing Wildlands . Even without someone as crazy as me (Ghost Mode Extreme, no HUD, no sync shot, 1st person aim, ground vehicles only, etc.) to play with, the improvements made do sound interesting, even if they do come with a few asterisks.
I'm not much of a CoD fan, but it's a real disappointment that they never tried setting something up like Ghost Recon with their Task Force 141.
you'll prolly enjoy it then, like I said graphic, atmosphere and most of the gameplay are pretty great, it's just some aspects dragging it down, like trying to fit an open world ghost recon square peg into a destiny-clone round hole. worse ways to spend the 15 bucks it costs these days.
when it comes to multiplayer ubisoft was
always retarded. 3 asscreeds with pretty fun multiplayer? scrapped with unity and never made standalone. ghost recon pvp? died with the franchise. same for splinter cell. on the other hand it might be for the better, because apparently
when they try you end up with something like r6 siege extraction (because that's the only MUH MILITARY franchise ubisoft thinks people know, it's not like they have their own fucking franchise that is based on a viral pandemic) or XD(get it?)efiant.
The wasted potential and my crushed optimism make it hard to enjoy Breakpoint. Breakpoint is great proof Ubisoft is incapable of making good games.
I had proof when they fucked up division 2, massive lying in the in playerbase' faces and then had the gall to ask for a $30 bugfix update.
that's why I went in with pretty low expectations, which then were both still too low and too high at the same time - like at launch you couldn't enter a whole area that was too high up on a mountain since it would crash anyone with an AMD card for some reason. then they go ahead after the game was basically dead and do a full vulkan update and game runs like fucking butter now. oh, and their battlepass, their main monetization vehicle never worked properly to the point they had to disable it, promised to fix it, quietly dropped it and gave everyone every unlock for free.
first year breakpoint was so schizo it was hilarious to watch (for anyone with no real investment since I paid 20 bucks or so for it). and it didn't really affect me since I mainly bought it to run around and explore stuff, as much as people shit on the ubisoft open world formula it can be pretty fun (in moderation).
