Ubisoft Sellout - Bankruptcy Speedrun Any% Thread

Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, "some stage of development" could be like three dev's playing around with prototypes figure what could work as the next big thing in battleroyal before moving forward as the one to pick.
Look man, they had a whole whiteboard written up, totally a real game that's happening and not what 3 frogs drunkenly put together over a lunchtime meeting.

Ubisoft are the masters of factory produced video games, everything is done to a strict template and just to the point that it works. I hope they die.

Imagine being the guys who work on all these quirky shooters with retard names, that will inevitable be cancelled/shut down, just because your parent company didn't manage to create an easy cash cow game like GTA online or Fortnite over the last decade:
“Hey @everyone
We hope you are all well and safe. We want to start by saying how amazing this group has been since we started. We’ve shared so many great moments and we cherish the
relationships we have built with all of you. We have gone through so many amazing moments together that will stay in our memory.

The first closed test was a great milestone for us because of all the work put in from the team, your amazing support, and your great reception! We loved the amazing energy on this discord, it was our fuel for the project. Your feedback was a true gift and allowed us to grow as developers in order to do our best for you, our players.

All these warm moments make this announcement harder to make: sadly we have to cancel our upcoming closed tests as Project Q will no longer continue development. This also means that we will need to shut down this Discord server.

We don’t have further information to communicate right now but we want to thank you all for your passion and your love for Project Q. All your messages and support has meant the world to us and has been a major boost for our teams since the beginning.

We will be closing this discord server in the upcoming days. But until then please share your memories and most memorable moments with us and we will gladly relay the messages to the team. It was an amazing ride for us, and we’ll keep an incredible memory of it.
We wish you all the best for the future.

Our warmest regards,
The Project Q Dev Team”

Things change. I would have considered Nintendo publishing Bayonetta outside their comfort zone at one point, but here we are, two games published by Nintendo later. Nintendo are best when they don't play it safe. Its how Nintendo bought Retro Studios and Monolith Soft, and we got Metroid Prime and Xenoblade.
At best they would get turned into another hal labs or gamefreak, studios that despite being owned by nintendo are allowed to release their shit wherever they want (although hal doesnt give a shit and is quite happy with nintendo while gamefreak are too retarded to make anything other than pokemon)

Why are people doubting the 12 battle royale claims? They even released one of those, it was such a monumental flop that barely anyone became aware of that, but they actually announced another one that was canceled.

So out of those 12 projects, two saw the light of the day. Many millions of dollars were spent on these two failures, I can perfectly see many more millions on the other projects.

If a company is retard enough to do the same mistake twice in a row and feel proud enough to make it public, why not more embarrassments like these behind the scenes?

I think people are doubting that they had 12 battle royale games in full production.

Oh, they were just asking to be cannibalized with those 12 BR shooters. On top of that, they'd be competing with Apex, Fortnite, Warzone and H1Z1. They'd be DOA.

one could argue that they were trying for multiple recipes of the BR formula but the problem is that BR is a game that it has to follow the same recipe over and over or else become boring shit.
never forget hyper scape that was "fast paced and added verticality"
died for being generic, ha.
shame about it because the artstyle looks nice and i wish niggers could have picked them art assets to toss in a better game, like fallout4.

I disagree. Yes it's repetitive, yes there are bugs, but I had fun playing this game mode even with randoms. The island was a great sandbox for these modes. Sorry if the video essay redditor didn't like it.
Wdym raycevick vids tend to be good
