These kikeniggers are getting quite ballsy with their faggy little EULAs. Like Nintendo telling you that you have no right to class action lawsuit them over their ability to brick """your""" console remotely. Ubishaft daring to tell you what to do on your end in any capacity is laughable. These corporations really needed a good kick in the teeth yesterday.

Dude they (and most other corporations at this point) are baking in "you can't even sue us at all and must instead submit to binding arbitration" clauses now. Not just "no class actions," but literally "no litigation period."

I cannot believe any US court has allowed that horseshit to stand. We've got so many more problems in the judiciary beyond endless lawfare screwing with the executive branch's normal functions.

You should always back up an entire game you own from a service like Steam on your hard drive anyways, just in case they de-list the game or they ban you or they put out an update that fucks the game over(Capcom did this not long ago with games like RE5 and Revelations by introducing fucking Denuvo into them over 15 years later). You own the game, this is nothing more than insurance in case corpos try to take that right from you, and it is perfectly legal. Ubisoft can get fucked, I'm glad their stupidity is the reason why SKG succeeded in gaining enough votes to at least push for real, tangible change in the industry.
 
I have a pirated copy of Black Flag on PC but I recently got a Steam Deck for comfy gaming and I wanted to play Black Flag without the hassle of pirating it on the Deck. Ubisoft is fucking retarded because I need to sign in and enter a password to Ubisoft connect every fucking time I want to play, meaning I need to log in to their shitty software and be connected to the Internet to play a fucking 10+ year old single player game. I've been looking for an offline mode or something but I haven't found anything. Ubisoft is literally promoting piracy because they are too retarded and greedy to allow you not to have to log in to their shitty app to play an old game they no longer care about.

Also why the hell did they need to make a newer shittier Ubisoft app, the last one worked fine enough even though it was a pain in the ass, the new app UI is shit and feels like bloatware.

Out of curiosity, have you tried seeing what happens if you disable the Internet on the Steamdeck? I don't have one but I'm sure regular Steam added an offline mode way back when people complained about having to be online to play Half Life 2.

I have to be logged into Ubisoft connect to launch the game. It's one of those launcher within an launcher type bullshit. I have tried with no luck. Maybe if I disable Internet while the game it open it might trigger an offline mode or something but I'm not sure. Out of 300 games (minus the dead online ones) in my steam library, and the only Ubisoft game in my collection it is the only single player game that requires some sort of online connection bullshit to launch it. Even games from other shit companies like Paradox games you don't have to have an account and you can directly bypass their launcher and boot up straight to the game if you want to, same with Creative Assembly games like Total War etc. I never had this problem with Ubisoft's old launcher U play, only the new Ubisoft Connect launcher.
 
@Spooky Space Kook I found this article that claims to force an offline mode in Ubisoft Connect, but it's for desktop so not sure if you'd be able to do the same thing on a Steamdeck. I'm also not sure the method works at all because the site looks like a pajeet/AI scam site, but I'll reproduce the instructions here (I obviously accept no liability if you try this and it does something diabolical):

Access Ubisoft Game Launcher Settings:​

  • Open the Run window (Windows key + R).
  • Type `%LocalAppData%` and press Enter.
  • Locate the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder.
  • Open the `settings.yml` file using Notepad.

Enable Offline Mode:​

  • Find the line containing `offline:`. Change `false` to `true`.
  • Save the `settings.yml` file.

Lock Settings and Restart:​

  • Right-click `settings.yml`, go to Properties, and check the 'Read-only' attribute.
  • Close and reopen Ubisoft Connect.
From looking around Reddit and other sites there used to be much easier ways to put UC into offline mode but I guess Ubisoft being the desperate useless cunts they pulled a Windows and decided to patch out these features.

Steamdeck runs Linux, so you'd need to switch it to desktop mode, dig around to find that settings.yml file, edit it to make the change, then chmod 440 /path/to/settings.yml to set it read-only. Then switch back to regular mode to play. Otherwise your instructions should work.
 
There's a two-week event in The Division 2, it's a collab with Payday.
This is the first time that they add another battle pass on top of the current one and it also has 2 tiers. Ubishit is going full CoD with The Division 2.

You also have to keep in mind that a japanese ninja setting assasins creed was always ubisofts "Break glass in case of emergency" The last hurrah for selling a billion copies except they waited to long and other companies came along and did it better.

The end goal for ass creed shadows wasn't to break even. It had to sell a billion copies but it didnt.

I doubt it even sold a million copies, no matter what they claim. They got a million engagements, maybe, but not actual sales.
Ubisoft is fucked, they're Chinese gimps now.

Technically true. When you overload your game with artificial grinding bullshit, paying for XP boosts really is the only practical way to experience more of the game. It's similar to how pharmaceutical companies charging $4,000 per pill helps their customers to 'experience more life'.
