This is absolute shit, I'm sorry. They didn't even bother trying to make them look like Drake/Sully. It's literally just Tom Holland and Marky Mark in generic clothing. I'm so fucking sick of this thing where retarded hollywood suits go "Let's make an adaption of this thing but not have the characters look anything like how they're supposed to!"
Like my god, at the very least give Mark the damn mustache!

See that's the thing, Mark Wahlberg posted a video on instagram a while ago where he had a mustache and it looked like it was for Sully but now they release this still and... There's no mustache? Is he gonna start clean-shaven but by the end of the movie he has a mustache? Like he goes through this journey and "becomes" Sully? Sounds stupid.

Even better, they mixed the plane bit from UC3 with the opening scene of UC2 where he wakes up in the crashed train hanging over the mountainside. I'm assuming it's the opening for this movie too because I absolutely cannot see how that's going to work if they do it halfway through. It also looks like it's over the ocean so I'm wondering if that's UC4 inspired. The bit with him not understanding the Scottish guy did seem like something Nate would actually say so I'll give them that, would've been great if they'd cast an actor who fit the role though.Looks like the trailer leaked.

It's impressive how badly they managed to fuck up the casting for this movie. It's so distracting having Marky Mark as Sully and having Drake look like a fucking child. Wouldn't Holland also be expensive as fuck to hire? Why they didn't just go for Fillion, who has proven to have a solid grasp of the character, is a mystery to me.

So pirate ships and the brother thing confirm it's somewhat inspired by the UC4 plot but like... Why are they mixing that with an origin story? Nate was so fucked up by Sam's death that he didn't even tell Elena, his wife, but he's gonna tell some guy he just met? I'm also a little disappointed that this probably means the movie won't have a supernatural element to it.
I know literally everyone says Tom Holland is miscast and it's getting tired but good lord Tom Holland is miscast. He says every line with the same bored tone like where's the charisma? I know there's only so much you can do to make him look older but surely he could try to act more mature, it's like he just default to being Spiderman and they were like "yep sure looks great!"
They had a bunch of shots of Strong Black Woman being Strong, Black and A Woman but no hints of personality so I'm assuming she's the Nadine of this movie. Chloe actually seemed alright. Hopefully they don't have room to fuck up Elena but it wouldn't shock me if they did.
All this trailer did was make me want to replay the games.

Nothing against Mark but him as Sully is a fucking joke, might as well give the character a different name and make it an original character for the movie since nothing resembles Sully here. It would make more sense to have him as Nate since Holland looks nothing like Drake either. This is shaping up to be terrible.

The thing about Uncharted was that the storyline was already that corny tall tale your rock-climbing buddy with middling climbing ability told you that not even the many drinks you downed over the course of the epic telling made believable. Difference is, that at least playing the game on Brutal mode had a fun, exciting challenge to it to offset the suspension of disbelief the story required. A movie of this? With no rooty-tooty-point-and-shooty fun with deranged inbred zombies, DA NAZEES, yugo war criminals, psychadelic femme fatales, and ragequitting to make it fun?
