No. Not really I don't.

That said, him turning out to be a liar made me at least more curious about what else he knows. I actually think him doing shady and messed up things would bump the interest factor (I am starting to feel like I am just spiteful af because the running theme I have had with this game is that the wholesome isn't working on me the way Undertale did, so I root for the worst) But this sad little sweet boy with low self worth isn't really doing much for me.

imo, the biggest problem with Ralsei is Toby blowing his load and revealing how he looked without the hat far too early.
Like, it was obvious enough from the name that he had some relationship to Asriel, but just ruining any sort of reveal from his actual appearance so early just cheapens it.
Now, odds are that Toby might be doing it on purpose, and have it so Ralsei of all people is aware of both Undertale and that the Angel (The player) is aware of Asriel, so that's why he looks the way he does, to try to get an emotional connection?
IDK, just feels like the uwu soft creature is trying to piggyback off of an actually somewhat earned emotional connection from Flowey/Asriel in Undertale, especially as he's the sole character that can't be saved no matter what.

Pure megaschizo here, but another option is that after the Underground was abandoned by everyone, with only Flowey remaining behind, it transformed into the world of pure darkness which spawned Ralsei from Flowey, where there was nothing living there at all, and Asriel as Flowey transformed into a Darkner, we already know that Sans somehow got from Deltarune to Undertale, so why not the other way around?

Ralsei hasn't hasn't developed at all as a character during 3 chapters he's been in, and we haven't learned anything about his past. While everyone else seems to somewhat develop he seems to get more and more flanderized.

if anything i think dropping susies tough girl act isnt such great writing. shes quickly devolving from a rough bully into an undyne who says "dumbass" a lot

And yet, Kriss is a creepy weirdo, manipulative, attention whore, socially inept, and potentially an abuser. So it fits.

Until chapter 4, Kris didn't give a damn about Ral and he doesn't like much his bro, so he did what the player makes him do. You also get many chances to troll Ral until chapter 4, where Kris begins trying to stop you.

Feels to me like she doesn't look in there very often. Susie immediately notices the stain if you inspect it during chapter 4 and helps you clean it up.

Its been 7 years and we're nearly halfway through the game at this point. The timespan of the story is irrelevant. Die hard is an action movie that takes place over like 3 hours and John McClane somehow still develops as a character. No, its not huge, but its fucking SOMETHING.

Doing slow boils is fine, but you can't do a slow boil for 6 chapters when your game has 7 in total.

Furthermore, its not just that Ralsei doesn't develop, its that he's also flat and boring, which are considerably bigger sins.

You can argue that susie develops too fast, you can also argue that she was always like this and its the facade that dropped.

However, the difference between susie and ralsei is that susie is a fun and intresting character that brims with personality and good moments anyway so arguably she doesn't even need as much attention as ralsei does right now, while Ralsei is flat, boring and undeveloped.

Good God it was so boring and not fun to play. Tenna was so disappointing after waiting years.

I guess the reason I am enjoying CH 3 so far is that I didn't wait for years after CH 2, I just now sat down to play 1-4. Having gone straight from 2 to 3 I don't feel this sense of disappointment a lot of people do.

That being said, Tenna being yet another Toby Fox funny guy with an announcer voice feels pretty played out.

Ralsei is clearly hiding things and you can't give him this giant character arc and maintain that sense of mystery very easily.

Again, the problem is, we're 7 years in and halfway through the story. If the story was like 20 chapters, then yeah sure. But it isn't, its literally 50% over, and ralsei has only just now begun to show an indicator that he might possibly get character development at some unspecified point in the future maybe.

This helps indeed. Playing chapter 2-3 together makes chapter 3 look better. Again, this is Toby's fault for not releasing the whole thing at once or release Chapter 5 as well, but that's up to him. Mother 3 took 3 years of development IIRC with a modest budget, but that one was an expert team, no trannies or liberals here, even if they had to cut some parts to fit the development time (like the endgame being a bit rushed and the prologue too short).
As said here, Nintendo might pressure him to move faster so that the complete game doesn't take longer than Switch 2's life expectancy. I remember reading somewhere that there could be actually up to the 10 chapters, or an "extra" chapter after Chapter 7, but who knows at this point.

A bit of both. Praying for Asriel makes him look uninterested. He has complicated feelings for sure.
As for Rasiel' development, I bet Chapter 5 will speedrun his development as there's little chance of Assgore and Rasiel NOT meeting, assuming the old goat is the boss of next chapter. Which makes me wonder who's going to be the Darkner this time, as usually there's always a Darkner embodying a negative element that manipulates third parties, but if Asgore goes mad because Toriel rejects him for the bald skeleton, he won't need much convincing.

That damn turtle of Chapter 4 is hard. Funnily enough, the fight is easier if you're aggressive or heal yourself, as anything but defending makes the fight take longer and thus let the enemy use more moves.

As said here, Nintendo might pressure him to move faster so that the complete game doesn't take longer than Switch 2's life expectancy. I remember reading somewhere that there could be actually up to the 10 chapters, or an "extra" chapter after Chapter 7, but who knows at this point.

Eh, I don't see Nintendo really being able to pressure him into anything. If anything I feel like it was the opposite, Deltarune needing to line up with the Switch 2 release probably delayed 3-4 by several months at least. I'm hoping he will just do one chapter a year or two rather than make everybody wait 3-4 for another bundle.

There really doesn't seem to be a perfect solution for how to approach it because I can already tell that the addition of other team members has had a negative effect on certain elements of the writing and presentation, while helping in other ways. I would rather wait 5 more years than increase the inevitable risk of adding sixteen more communist trannies to his team and him getting snaked and accused of raping one of them.
