Noelle letting her gay crush just barge into the room of her dead/missing sister and start fucking with her things and lounging against her bed is genuinely such a shitty thing.
That's because noelle is a simp ass cuck who will let anyone walk over her. The whole interaction in dess's room was uncomfortable to watch. Like, how are you gonna let susie fuck with your dead sisters things?

Susie x Noelle has gotta be the most forced (and boring) ship ever
I hate saying shit like "that's the point" but it feels like Toby is intentionally forcing a one-sided relationship between the two so that drama occurs when Noelle realizes or is flat out told that Susie doesn't see her the same way. Susie and Kris are a lot alike in personality stated and shown in Kris's case so surely there would be some parallel between Kris and Noelle riding the ferris wheel and Susie and Noelle riding it.

Kris definitely has the ability to hide things from us in his inventory. Don't forget, he's always carrying a knife with him that we can't interact with.
Thinking about this Ralsei being the knife would be the best curveball imaginable and set up a ton of fun stuff for the plot as well as give context for how Ralsei knows a lot of the stuff he does.

There's also the fact that when you learn another language, it changes your way of thinking in general, your manneurisms change just like how you'd make a new accent for that language.
He lives in Japan doesn't he? He probably uses it as his primary language now. It's retarded cringe weeb shit and I totally buy the "wants to be Japanese" theories but it's probably mostly just that for his weird Twitter posts.
Dess be actually human wearing fake reindeer antlers like Kris did?
Doubtful. With some of the dialogue and hints it might be true that Kris as he is now isn't even REALLY human, but some kind of weird goner zombie.

I can't help but wonder if it's unintentional that Toby is making Noelle seem like kind of a weird projecting freak on Susie or if he genuinely thinks their interactions are romantic and not pushy weird shit.
It's Alphys all over again.
Well we already have an example in Deltarune of this in the form of Berdly, who is treated like an obnoxious faggot dickhead, with his redemptive moments being mostly performative and forgotten.

On one hand I feel like Toby would never ever rob himself or his fans of their precious UeU lesbian ship. On the other, a lot of their interactions feel like they're setting up a drama moment at the festival. Hard to say for sure.

Here's the thing though. Berdly is almost a weird inversion of Alphys.
Like Alphys, Berdly is an obnoxious nerd who follows you around.
Unlike Alphys, Berdly isn't constantly glazed and enabled by the entire cast.
Unlike Alphys, Berdly is really funny to watch and doesn't actually intrude on things. His entrance on a scene is something that I actively welcomed.
Unlike Alphys, you're not supposed to find him "cute and relatable" ...but he manages to be so anyway.

most importantly unlike alphys you can fucking kill him if you hate him which is a really nice addition

He's also a good fighter. He 1v3 the party. And he gets stronger in the weird route (too bad that got cut short).

Berdly is a reall nigga.

Edit: Speaking of classmates, Catti has been getting a lot of attention. I don't think her lines that she taught Noelle magic was a ha ha funny thing. She also tried to summon a "demon" with Kris. I wonder if she'll get stuck in the darkworld with you, and she'll become like a black witch party member.

Maybe she and Jockington will get a chapter dedicated to them. The summon a demon thing could be why Kris keeps a birdcage and bloodstain?

"Me and Human summoned red demon and it really wants to **** the doe"

Don't tempt Toby. Every modern piece of media needs a witch or witches in it and it needs to fucking stop.

ERAM straight out saying he enjoyed the fact he could hurt Noelle while thrusting all the responsibility onto the player.
That's what I think too. Even though he's furious at us, he probably hates himself more for letting us Proceed with it.
That's why his arm fidgets so much and he keeps covering Noelle's mouth before saying "Me". He's trying to fight back but can't quite do it. Case in point, if you don't retake control of Kris, he grabs Noelle and runs out of the room before we can do anything.
His arm also fidgets if you never possess Kris in the scene. I also notice Noelles overworld sprite has her eyes closed the whole time until Kris grabs her, but her character sprite has her eyes open. I wonder if her eyes were actually closed the whole time or if Monsters can't see the soul. During the dark hallway scene, Susie acknowledges the light, but doesn't acknowledge that its coming from the soul.

NoellexSuzie is so fucking wrong. Noelle is being a little creep "uwu I want her to bully me." Kind of preludes actual lesbian relationships.
What gets me is that Kris and Susie have plenty of moments throughout the entire game where they naturally become closer and reflect on their relationship, and Susie even awkwardly tries to flirt with Kris sometimes. Noelle and Susie’s interactions feel so forced that they all but have to be intentional. They have to ride a ferris wheel together because the plot demands it out of nowhere. Susie has to “serenade” Noelle with a guitar because the plot demands that Susie needs to hold Noelle’s dead sister’s guitar while Kris is busy. Susie has to not bully Noelle specifically because of >a fucking pencil.

Here’s a perfect example: Kris has the How to Draw Dragons book in a drawer at home. It’s established in Chapter 1 that he’s had the book for a long time, it’s mentioned in multiple chapters, and Susie finally seeing the book is the payoff to a long-running joke that gets both of them flustered and gives Susie a clear hint that Kris might be attracted to her, which excites her.

What’s Noelle’s equivalent to this interaction? She inexplicably has a goth photo of herself under her bed, then Susie sees it and goes “uwu ur so cute and hot noelle u should dress like that for me *blushy_face.jpg*”. One feels natural, and the other feels like what a 14 year old girl thinks romance is.

If Noelle was a dude almost every interaction and inner monologue involving Susie she has would be immediately seen as desperate and obsessive, which... they are.
This is absolutely correct. A lot of creepy/exploitative relationship writing in games and stories nowadays gets a pass if it's gay, especially with lesbians.

For me, romantic feelings in subtext are better written than romantic feelings in text for this exact reason. Susie's feelings for Noelle come off like she's flustered the Stacy of rhe class likes her with little substance. Meanwhile her and Kris have a strong connection (like that one mirror interaction text in chapter 4, where Kris' fondness for Susie makes him feel better about himself because they're so similar, and he likes her. Says a lot.) Poorly written shallow romances in text amount to UM X REALLY REALLY LIKES Y BECAUSE I SAY SO
