I think in Deltarune Toby changed it so that they bleed, they turn to dust when they die still though.

Additional random thought; Asriel has the hots for busty purple dragons in immodest clothing, going by the book in dresser. Is cool college-age Asriel going to show up and steal Susie from Noelle and Kris? Or is that Kris's book, and Asriel just checked it out for him? Regardless, someone is going to find out if she's got a tail or not.

I always thought of this as monster by monster basis, with some of the more fleshy and humanoid monsters like susie bleeding while others like Grilby and the fire girl wouldn't. To as for why would Sans bleed (if is his blood is in fact not ketchup) and Papyrus wouldn't...

I mean Asriel was apparently so embarrassed by renting it that he never returned it, according to Berldy it's like 4 years overdue.

My guess is that Asriel didn't actually get it... for himself. Or at least Asriel wasn't the one using it.
