Undertale

I managed to beat the game without killing anyone. It was an absolutely magical experience.

I spent the next few days browsing Undertale threads on /v/ and /vg/. Then, I watched like 7 or 8 LPs and streams of the game, just to watch others experience it for the first time. I might end up recording a commentated playthrough of the second loop myself.

<- This one has been my favourite so far, if watching others play the game you love is your thing and you have 10 hours to spare. The person playing is clearly enjoying the game a lot. She pays attention to what's going on in the game, and is decently competent at playing it. She is assisted by a guy who's already beaten the game, who doesn't guide or backseat for her, but clues her in on some little details she could have missed otherwise. They don't read the dialogues out loud and don't voice act the characters.

Voidburger is probably one of my favorite LPers. Normally she does Silent Hill and other spooky stuff. The guy who's with her is Chip Cheezum, who has his own channel and some fantastic videos. I think he may have one of the few, or at least the highest quality LP of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.

The music in this game is also amazing, each track fits its scene really well!

Also, has anyone gotten through the door in the snow area before Snowdin? There is something behind it.
Toby places his Pomeranian insert with a computer and some dog residue. It can be accessed by avoiding every name in the credits

The method to open that door is way more work than the reward is worth, as much as I love shitty dogs.

Im thinking about getting this game,So should i wait for it to go on sale or like buy it right now?

It's a tenner. Just go for it.

Yeah thought so,I think im gonna get it since i have been given Gaben my cash form the past few sales.Im always looking for fresh to play and maybe im thinking about getting Walking Dead Season 1 on Steam also.

Undertale, to me, is absolute proof that you don't need a groundbreaking original concept to tell a good story. Undertale's charm lies in its execution.
I honestly glanced over it at first, since this whole "humans vs monsters boo hoo" thing has been done to death, but it really blew my expectations out of the water. Not only was the gameplay fun and lacking in the usual hours and hours of pointless turn-based RPG grinding, the storytelling was fantastic. It didn't take itself too seriously either, which helped ease my initial thoughts of "ugh this has been done a million times."

I've had to watch lets plays and streams of this game because I'm so poor I don't have 10 dolla
I saw the true ending and holy fuck it's so good
Like so good that I can't even imagine how people could make something so good

I got the game 4 days ago and already logged in 21 hours. I bought it after hearing the amazing soundtrack. Didn't regret a single penny.
I am currently having a really BAD TIME -
. Genocide mode is fucking insane despite only having a few serious enemies to fight. And it apparently messes up the true ending (which I didn't get yet).

I'm really impressed with how smart the game is. Despite being inspired from many different games, it (mostly) executes the ideas better. Despite being decently long, it has multiple ways to finish and interact with the game. And your choices do matter unlike other games where it merely gives the illusion of choice, as it affects the story, and your other playthroughs.
Every character (whether major or minor) has a great personality. Every single joke with the characters and world hits it's mark (this is probably the funniest game I've played yet).

So far, I can't find anything bad to say about Undertale, the dev seemingly acknowledges bad video game tropes in RPG's and avoids/jokes about them. The only complaint I have is that the main character's pixel art is jarring from everything else in the world. It's mostly that ugly yellow color, I don't think of The Simpsons when I think of a human.

I'd say Undertale is well worth it's 10 dollar price.
But Walking Dead season 1 & 2 are on a 75% sale. 12.48$ total is the best price you would get for a long while with those games, so I'd recommend getting them asap. The original price of 50$ total isn't worth the games. Unless you want to be that guy and torrent them both.

Just got and beat Undertale yesterday in what was basically me doing nothing but playing that game for like, nine hours - totally worth it, though.

Normally, I find with super story-heavy games that focus on characters, the gameplay tends to be shit, but the combat in Undertale is actually exceptionally fun and quite challenging.

It's ten bucks, why not go on a lark and pick it up. I don't even JRPG, but I'm getting a kick out of the humor and gameplay after about an hour or two of play.

Yeah im thinking about getting it soon,Should i get the bundle with the soundtrack which is like $20 bucks or get the regular one that is $10 bucks?

Finally got Undertale today. Just gonna say that getting beyond where the demo ends, I honestly can't wait to date Papyrus, even if it means there is spaghetti getting involved.
