A word from Toby on the game.

tl;dr, don't expect anything new from this for a long time, it was a demo after all. He says a complete game will be released when all of the chapters are done, but who knows how many he has planned? My guess is 8, as that matches the number of Chapters in Mother 3, and assuming each chapter is a day that would be 8 days, so a full week and then the day Asriel comes home.

The Undertale demo was released on mid 2013 and the full game was released on late 2015.

That's almost 2 1/2 years.

So my speculation is deltarune's full game will be released around 3-5 years from now. Thats, long.

Depending on the size of the game, the workload and whoever he gathers up (please lord keep Hussie and other HS chucklefucks away from this project) 3+ years is realistic and understandable. Toby admits he’s never lead a large project before and never been directing anyone more than Temmie.

I’d love to see more stuff for this game tomorrow ffs but factoring in the time it’ll take to get a team together, getting everyone on board, having the whole team understand what the vision/goal of the project they’re working on is, and then actually making and testing the game? I’d be very surprised if we got any significant news about this by the end of the decade.

However, this taste of what’s to come is enough for me for now tbh. Knowing Toby has the chops to make a good game by himself (more or less), I’m hoping he has the chops to lead prodcustion on a bigger good game. It won’t be easy for him, but then again it’s easy for very few people, especially since he doesn’t want to kickstart this. Nonetheless, I’ve got confidence in our boy Toby to make an amazing game that will be worth the wait.

So the whole customizaton being erased after completing it seems to indicate Delta Rune is going for a more railroading method of story rather than Undertale freedom of choice?

The funny part was the kids screaming on social network about how they could not play it because they were in school, i got messaged in Twitter in plan DUDE TOBY DID A THING GO NOW NOW and i went full Fastest man alive to my home to play it, it took people by surprise

I...dont really think that would be for the best, Toby do his magic best when he is sperging alone with his games, is better if he remain untouched to keep being a crazy like yoko taro, but in the twitlonger he say that he is searching for a team, if i were him i would go with full japanese staff, i dont want soyboys/dangerhairs ruining the game

Nah, is just to teach you that in all the game your choice technically dont matter, there are a couple of times where you are asked a question but the game immediately skip it and tell you that "it doesnt matter what you think"

And found very hilarious that there is a track in the OST called "Trash Rating" :dumb::dumb::dumb::dumb:

If people actually play throughly he already tell you that he is already working in the game, after you return to the Light world go to the library and check the computer lab, a message appear that "a dog is working hard in his game", the "annoying" dog is toby avatar (Suikoden tought me to check every bit and cranny to avoid missables)
