Hopefully, this helps out. When it comes to extremes, you need pull back and a bit of a middle ground.
In may of 2018, I lost 35lbs in three weeks. From 175, to roughly 144.8lbs.
I implemented keto and only ate at 7am and 10am.
Two meals.
Breakfast: 5x eggs scrambled, two slices of bread, peanut butter, and ketchup.
“Lunch”: 1x baked chicken breast, half an avocado and siracha.
I trained every single day.
5x days of bodyweight training.
1x day of sprinting (15minutes)
1x day of endurance cardio. 2-3hour runs listening to jordan peterson and game development podcasts.
I did not look in the mirror. I did not weigh myself, I only focused my will power on every hour of the day.
You can’t conquer a year, let alone a month if you can’t even successfully finish a day. Long term thinking works for people with established habits.
My calories were 700 a day. Every day. I only made plans with friends during the afternoon, and I always avoided plans for eating/drinking.
I wrote down exactly what brand of food and condiments I would use, then stopped thinking about it.
The first week I had bouts of anger and stomach pain. Withdrawal from carbs.
After, freedom. Literally. My appetite changed.
I got some overuse injuries that a doctor chewed me out for, but thankfully nothing long term.
I tried eating some home fries at a diner with my girlfriend, only to pass out immediately on the ride back home.
I felt like I was 13 all over again, new found energy, and I was tired at the right time to sleep.
The biggest mistake people make at this point is trying to eat normal again. You have to reintroduce more calories slowly. And of course, increase protein intake to feed an already undernourished body.
Your goal should not only be weight loss. You need to change your relationship with food. That’s all. Don’t make it complicated.
First, suffer and focus on a number.
Then, focus on getting back to normal.
After, treat your goals like a body builder. Have a goal to point towards after weight loss.
Hair loss, mood swings, bowel issues and malnourishment will damage your body if you go under 1200 calories. Don’t play with god because you want to be skinny for a month only to fuck it up again.
Health is a relationship for life, not a short term run.
Food is love. Eat shit food intentionally.
MMA fighter George St Pierre was allowed to eat McDonald's after he ate all the food he needed to, to make weight for Connor Mcgregor. And he won that fight easily.
Maybe I feel like what I’m saying is rare because most kiwis will chew you out for what you’re trying to do.
But I believe you can do this. Just fucking take care of your body. You owe it to yourself. Behind that flub there’s the body you never knew you had.
Best of luck.
