Unpopular views about music

"Stairway to Heaven" is far overrated and I feel like it's played by "classic rock" stations in an attempt to make people accept it.

Also, Journey is everything that's wrong with 1980s music.

"American Pie" is a long whiny song about "my music is no longer the popular music whaa whaa"
fuck that

And Vincent is a whiny song, stuffed with insufferably purple prose, about how I'm not like the unwashed plebs who don't know art, and how mental illness is romantic and beautiful.

AC/DC are overrated. Radio Birdman is the real best Australian band.

Scott Walker is the greatest musician of all time. His godlike genius is unparalleled throughout history.

Beyonce is fucking overrateed. Solange is better.

I like Miley Cyrus.

No, actually, that's an understatement. I think Miley Cyrus is a fucking genius and one of the few interesting pop musicians today. Everything she's been doing post-Disney is part of an elaborate performance art piece satirizing the teen pop marketing machine, the culture of celebrity gossip, our obsession with "youth" and seeming "young", her squeaky-clean image, and the archetype of the "former child star". It's one big joke!

And I, personally, think that it's absolutely fucking hilarious. Vaya con Dios.

most pop music isn't bad
it's bland
and bland is worse than bad
example: kanye west
every time he does something people circle jerk and talk about how new and innovative he is
he's not
everything west has done, other people have done before
same for lady gaga
it's bland music for bland people who can't be arsed to try anything not on the billboard 100

speaking of people who like being told what to listen to
these people are exactly the same as the idiots who rub themselves talking about how "I don't listen to anything made past 1990" and all that shit.
you're stupid and boring.
if there is no music you like from before 2000, then you're an idiot
if there is no music you like from after 2000, then you're an idiot
fact of life.

musicwise it's fine
but i agree with the opinion of the lyrics
don't get me wrong, i like van gogh
but the song just makes me blegh
a very unfitting tribute

Elvis was a hack who ripped off Chuck Berry. Chuck has had either a direct or indirect influence on essentially every form of guitar based music and guitar based band of the last 60 years, and deserves more respect than he gets.
I wouldn't say elvis was a hack
but he gets way more praise than he really should
he wasn't that world changing

I don't understand how Vocaloid is so popular, every song sounds robotic, acute and souless. Even if they sound "good", it's never something that would make me sing along or pump my fists in the air in a show, like a real singer would.

I've even seen people say "dubstep and autotune isn't real music" and yet they listen to literal voice sinthetizers lol weebs.
