Do they actually think players went through something like FF7 and were like, "As a cis white-skinned, blonde male, I feel so empowered looking at Cloud with his impossible hair style and gigantic anime sword. Now I truly belong in society."

If they want more representation from certain demographics, here's the easiest way to accomplish that: just create likeable characters. Give them interesting backstories or fun personalities. Make them cute or stylish. Lay out their motivations or goals in a way that's relatable to society at large. Nobody is going to care more about minorities just because you started modeling Taiwanese demi-sexual furries and put them in shitty video games.

I look absolutely nothing like Batman or Doomguy, yet I find both those characters incredibly relatable and likable compared to these "diverse" bullshit characters. I would much rather play as Doomguy than as some generic near-troon.

Women really do ruin everything. I know no one who complained at the ending of Metroid when it was revealed that Samus was a woman. People just thought, "Oh, snap, cool!" Or anyone who complained about playing as Lara Croft or Terra Branford. But women who don't even like games have to scream and yell at men until they add their fat, black, trans lesbian with a colostomy bag to the game otherwise "I am not represented." Growing up, Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of my favorite shows and I related to him so much and guess what? I'm not a fucking pink dog! I guess women just have a lack of imagination and are unable to put themselves into other situations

But getting back to the Dove promotion, I just don't get why people want to be so damn ugly in-game. The fatty on the bike looks ridiculous. The wheelchair UFO chariot thing looks like some Jetsons reboot nonsense. And as someone else said, the downie character's design isn't much different from regular designs you see.

It's all very meh. Save for that fat tranny looking thing taking up a lot of vram. That's just horrifying. Also, lol. T-rex arms.
