idk about that, im a middle aged woman who loves video games, and i honestly find the recent nonstop "diversity" to be really tiresome...not every game has to have a rainbow of different colors and creeds, sometimes it just is what it is, and if anyone is allowing a video game to fuck up their sense of self, its time to get off the computer for a while.
ETA i wonder what these retards would think about dead or alive xtreme beach volleyball :lol:

Also, women lack representation because they often create their own. Why do you think avatar creation is so important; as well as shit like MMOs and The Sims do so well. They do well with the female demographic, because they love making themselves, their friends, their enemies, etc. Female gamers don't need representation, because they often just make themselves.

I'm not against diversity in videos games, but I don't get why disabilities are always included in these types of fantasy/sci fi games? Like, you have a world where you can use magic to change your appearance or heal wounds instantly, you have worlds where you can space travel to far away galaxies, travel back in time, androids are fully sentient and basically considered humans, you can swap out your dumb human limbs for high-tech robotic ones, etc..

So why would you need a wheelchair or whatever in these worlds when you can magically heal your disability or swap out your limb with a fancy robot one? Am I to believe that in a world where society has fixed every problem through overpowered magical/technological solutions, somehow there are still people who need a wheelchair? If I was disabled I would be offended that my disability was being used to create sloppy world building plot holes.

There's actually an game where an combat vet or something similar is stuck in an wheelchair and is hired for something experimental. I never caught the name of it, but the very first segment of it has you rolling around in an wheelchair.

They all look like horror shows you would make in a Saints Row game to show friends. "Hey look at this stroke faced obese albino I made who wears a sailor moon costume while she beats people with a giant dildo."

If you're crippled, why would you want to play as a cripple in a video game? It reminds me of some story about this paralyzed person who was playing DnD 5e (probably read it here on the ttrpg subforum). I guess WoC implemented wheelchair mechanics because inclusion. Anyway crippled person makes their character and the GM is pressures them to play a wheelchair bound character. They tell the GM to fuck off and said something like, "I can't walk in real life. Why would I want to be in wheelchair in a fantasy world?" At the end of the day entertainment is escapism as well as art. Being confined to a chair is the opposite of escapism even if that fucker hovers and flies with wacky lights.
