Do we know for certain if this is actually Chris or just some troll ruse?

This was clearly what we were building up to. Now Chris has removed the part where he actually does anything.

It's real. Chris posted it on Facebook.

Incidentally, I'm surprised Chris used Kickstarter instead of, say, IndieGogo, since they only fund you if you reached your goal. Guess he's dead set on making at least $5,000 here. At least he's honest about it going to Legos.

It's too crazy and clever to be ween. Also his Facebook is connected to it, so unless someone got his Facebook password (yes Marvin, I know that's damn near impossible now) I think this is real.

Edit: totes real

  • Not for a Sonichu issue
  • Not for Adult Chronicles
No thanks Chris, I don't think you understand the point of Kickstarter.

We all knew the CWC Kickstarter was inevitable but I don't think any of us expected it to be this retarded. An issue of Sonichu would have been a dead cert for money.

For posterity. Because this violates Kickstarter's rules and will probably be reported soon.

"Resale. All rewards must have been produced or designed by the project or one of its creators — no reselling things from elsewhere."

This may work better for Chris if his goods like autographs, drawings, and medallions were the reward incentives instead of lego sets that anyone can buy.

It is weird that the rewards are LEGO products that Chris would presumably buy instead of Chris-produced items. If I wanted a LEGO Friends Character Encyclopedia, I'd just buy one for $12 instead of giving Chris $50.

Edit: beaten by impossibility, but, yeah. Chris's unique selling proposition is Internet notoriety and the Sonichu universe, not LEGO mastery.
