Update: Chris' Hierarchy of Needs, and WANT MULTIPLES!

Didn't someone find out that barb has been taking more of the tugboat away from Chris since the fire?

Chris, in a very perverse way, is probably the biggest breadwinner in the house. OK, breadgetter. He could call the shots. He could rent his own place and be rid of the hag. Then again, he's afraid his 70 year old mother will beat him up, because deep down he's still that dimwitted little boy from the Sonic Watch and Win video.

It's not their money he's spending, it's his. And no, she doesn't care what he spends his money on.
Yeah, Barb doesn't give a shit what Chris wastes money on, but I can see her starting to pay closer attention to just how much money he wastes. She won't care where it's going, just that it's not going to her, especially after State Farm stops paying their rent.
If he was desperate, I really couldn't predict what he would do.
We don't need to make those predictions. Soon enough we'll see for ourselves what he'll do. I think the shoplifting incident was a little taste of things to come.
Oh his finances are dogshit. I'm just wondering why he's not actually drowning. Like, how can he buy food, is what I'm wondering.
The thing about walking on thin ice is it feels solid right up until the moment you break through. Chris won't realize (or will refuse to believe) just how fucked he really is until his head is fully under water. Until then he'll let Barb do all the worrying, and so long as he gets a warm place to sleep and enough q-sands to gobble he won't think even once about actual necessities. He has more important things to worry about, like what legos he wants people to buy him.

Back to the shoplifting incident, it might have been evidence the end is near were it not for the fact that it's also explainable by so many other antisocial traits of Chris (and also he's just really, really stupid enough to try it). I think the thickness of the ice is directly related in a more definitive way to the duration State Farm is willing to pay rent for Chris and Barb. Once that goes away expect the shit to really hit the fan in short order. Without State Farm making payments Barb will expect the :tugboat: to be used for their rent (because there's probably no way in hell they'll be back at 14BLC), and I think she'll be more than a little unhappy when she sees just how much of it can't be because it's needed instead to make minimum payments on credit cards.
he's probably still paying off video game purchases from 2 console generations ago.
Pay off? The bare minimum payments he's making are likely near 100% interest. They're intended to keep credit card users paying for as long as possible. And that's only for someone who doesn't repeatedly max out his cards whenever they have an available balance. Chris isn't paying anything off.
but more likely is putting it into a trust because she knows her big baby is incapable of working.
That assumes Barb is bright enough to think of a trust fund and also gives a rats ass about Chris in a post-Barb world.

I highly doubt that scenario.

Chris's next :tugboat:will be coming in soon. I bet that he's going to spend all of that on Legos and his momma won't have much money left to spend on food or McD chicken nuggets on him. Next month will most likely be him complaining about how he has to eat less. He's already malnutritioned in the first place and actually starving but doesn't feel it. Soon, he will though when he complains of his stomach growling or his stomach in pain. If he survives next month, it would be a wonder though.

Lol @ Chris jeopardizing his ability to eat.

Bob would have thought of it.
Maybe. But Bob is dead. And would Bob have cared even if he thought of it?
And this would have been done for more than the last decade.
Giving Barb more than enough time to empty it for treasures hoard.
Once again, I ask for proof that teh trools have hacked anything besides Chris' email and PSN.
And I'll ask what the relevance of that is to this thread?
The Big Baby has zero understanding of fiduciary responsibility.
Obviously.
The sheer amount that "Christorians" do not know, yet claim to, is earth-shattering.
Well that's for them to know (or not know as the case may be) and others to find out. Also: relevance?
Also, bro, you were less creepy when you made your first 100 posts in a week in your hobo fursona.
Fursona?
EDIT: Chris has been compromised for years. But I ask for ANY proof re: the rest of Chandler finances. Chris is too dumb, as an infant, to understand these things. Someone would have to have gone deep to prove that Barb and Bob needed Chris to subsist, which even if the mortgage was paid off, they couldn't.
Edit: Is that where you're trying to go with this?

I don't think anyone is claiming Bob and Barb needed any of Chris' :tugboat: to support them at 14BLC. I think Bob took a percentage of it as "rent" monthly from Chris to try to teach him some sort of lesson and also keep his credit card debt under control, but I believe that ended when Bob died.

But we're not talking about then, we're talking about now, and we're talking about the near future when the State Farm rent checks stop coming.

You talked about bindles, riding rails, cooking beans in a can. And then there were walls of text. Serious RPG shit. Also, you have added nothing to the discourse, still haven't, but you try to scrape the internet for things like property taxes, which is creepy. There is something to be said for lurking. For years. Eh my vacation week is kinda over. You prolly won't see me again anytime soon.

However, the thing about this place , the only thing I've ever seen is: 1. everyone assumes they know more than they really know, 2. everyone attributes the worst things to the entire Chandler family, to make those assumptions fit.

AND LASTLY, EVERYONE A-LOGS RIGHT AFTER THEY SAY THEY AREN'T GOING TO A-LOG.

:anna:

^proof on this? I think Bob's life insurance, pension (military and private), social security, investments, et al. trumps this. barb would have social security from when she did work. the very idea that chris' 1k a month would keep the entire family afloat is highly improbable. barb prolly doesn't take chris' tugboat away for her needs but more likely is putting it into a trust because she knows her big baby is incapable of working.
According to the sources we have, which you can never say are 100% accurate because it's something you can't really "prove", it's take it or leave it basically, Barb takes almost the entire tugboat to keep the economy afloat due in large to the fact that she's waging some kind of war against the insurance company regarding their old house. Skyraider said she was of the opinion that the insurance company should pay for a full restoration of their old home and, if I remember correctly, has gotten lawyers involved because that's obviously a very rational course of action.

It sounds a lot like something Barb would do, it explains why Chris suddenly took to shoplifting and why he relied more heavily on credit cards than before (again, as far as we know), so it makes a lot of sense and sounds very plausible to me.

You talked about bindles, riding rails, cooking beans in a can.
So wait, you're disappointed I didn't stay on talking about bindles and jungle stew? Thing about that is once you've talked about 'em, unless you're wanting to swap recipes or something, there's really nothing more to say, even for an old hobo. So why say it? This is a forum about Chris and other lolcows, and while I have little doubt such things are very relevant to Chris' future, they're a little off topic right now.

Still not a "fursona" though.
you try to scrape the internet for things like property taxes, which is creepy
I have to ask how you can complain that "Christorians don't know anything" in one post and then immediately follow it up with calling searching for information as "creepy"? How do you reconcile those two positions?
You prolly won't see me again anytime soon.
Yeah, somehow I managed to work that one out several posts of yours ago.
However, the thing about this place , the only thing I've ever seen is: 1. everyone assumes they know more than they really know,
Including you?
2. everyone attributes the worst things to the entire Chandler family, to make those assumptions fit.
Actually that's mostly just cynicism. Isn't it such a damn shame the Chandlers usually prove it right? But it's not our fault when they do.
AND LASTLY, EVERYONE A-LOGS RIGHT AFTER THEY SAY THEY AREN'T GOING TO A-LOG.
I would respond to this, but if you have to explain the joke it stops being a joke.

You seem to know a lot for someone who joined a week ago

You're right, we actually invented Chris and the board just to troll YOU, good work everybody, take tomorrow off. Except for whoever it was that was supposed to be keeping an eye on your vacation schedule, that dude totally dropped the ball.
Lol, seriously? You think I was offended or something?
