Update: Chris' Hierarchy of Needs, and WANT MULTIPLES!

But seriously, I think just reading that comment killed off
a few brain cells.
I think I'm a few fb posts away from having an anyeurism from the stupidity. Only the tea party and the chia pets jingle used to do that. How does someone exposed to so much madness on the internet lack self-awareness? It can't possibly just be autism.

He could have had a point. He actually really could've made a valid point, if not for the fact he's plastering this all over his timeline for his "friends" to see and is trying so hard to make it clear which LEGO set should be sent first.

He's just :stupid:, really really :stupid:

Think about it.

He says it's just a wishlist and not mandatory, no one has to pay attention to it if they don't want to. But then he gets all pissy when nobody sends him gifts or buys his broken violin. So which is it?

Both. Unlike most people, Chris appears to have no problem at all with cognitive dissonance. He can believe several contradictory things at the same time without breaking sweat on his greasy fat forehead.

What the hell, that is insane.

20 years ago LEGOs were so expensive? (yeah yeah, inflation rate and shit...)

Legos have ALWAYS been expensive. Anyone who says otherwise is lying.

When I was a kid, my one big christmas present was THE Lego Pirate Ship. The website is showing that it had a MSRP in 1989 of $109. If anything, lego prices really haven't gone up THAT much. A comparable product is $10 less in todays money with 200 less pieces.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, legos have always been expensive, always and forever. They're not any more expensive now than they were, and Chris still wants $10,000 worth of them. That's a lot of money in 1989 and it's a lot of money now and it'll be a lot of money in 2024.

Better then Warhammer 40k occasionally increasing prices of models to fuck with you. Infact, Lego might be better if they are making higher-quality parts BUT the comparable product is slightly cheaper.

Hey speaking of which, get me boxes of warhammer figure NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW NOW!

"Think about it."

A classic CWCism, signifying his belief that he's made a brilliant and inarguable point.
All the more ironic considering Chris rarely thinks about anything. In fact, he often refuses when asked to.

He won't even stand under a stream of water, what could we possibly say to convince him to get close to a body of water.
Tell him it's a wading pool.

I think the difference is there weren't as many sets back then. Most kids just got generic blocks, with a particular set being an exception. Now the Lego catalog (!) is full of them.

I stopped playing Warhams because I just couldn't afford to keep updating and expanding :(

Someone help a wounded future veteran out and buy him an Ork Stompa, huh? I just need one to get me through the week.

"Why would you make a wishlist? Think about it."

Granted, wishlists are nothing new. I, myself, made an Amazon.com wishlist a few years ago, because my parents didn't know what to get me for Christmas and asked me to make one so they could buy things and ship them my way. We had a thread for a while in Off-Topic titled "Material Items You Want," and quite a few of us posted pie-in-the-sky items that we'd like to, someday, conceivably, own.

The difference, though, is that we all know that we're unlikely to own these items and don't have any expectation for somebody to buy them for us. I'll never be able to sink six grand into something for my collection. It's a dream. A flight of fancy. Nothing more.

I don't go onto Facebook to show everybody what I want, because nobody asked me and nobody would care if I did. If anything, it would make people think the wrong thing.

And that's exactly what's happened with Chris. Except he doesn't care. MULTIPLES OF THESE!

I try to be fair towards Chris, but this is really, really selfish.

See I have done this. The difference is I don't expect my Facebook friends to buy me a book about foreign horror movies for 50 bucks. Chris seems to legit think someone will do this.

"I'm sorry; I do not understand da question..." :c

I've done a little bit of computer programming in my life, and really, all Chris is is a very small set of returned answers. This isn't a case of autism where there's a highly intelligent mind hidden behind a blank face. This is a case of a tiny intellect doing the same very few things over and over again. So while this latest shameless beg list is infuriating, it is not only expected from him, it's inevitable.

No, not his friends. He makes friends only posts when he wants to do that.

Well we'd have to get him near a body of water first.

Oh, you meant financially drowning.
Fatty's too oily to drown literally.
