Tomorrow is the big day. With Chris' dreams falling apart, I doubt the PS4 is up to the task of upgrading Chris' life.

Well it looks like there are no confirmed little big planet or modnation racers launch titles yet so I think it'll be a while before he makes the plunge. There is however some sort of LEGO game so he might get it just for that.

Well since he has used Soul Caliber III as a way to deal his own justice against those who dare oppose him, and his new methods are with Legos, I can totally see Chris buying the game to beat people up in Lego form, for his own satisfaction.

Actually I'm gonna buy that $200 250 GB ps3 bundle on black friday. I missed all of the PS3's life cycle and I mean to catch up. I have a PC if I want to play current games.

Go for a ps+ subscription, seeing as you've never had a triple you won't already have any of the games offered, and you'll get full benefit. I normally don't champion specific systems or services, but ps+ is insanely good value for money. If anything, it's actually given me too much stuff to effectively play.

Soon, you too can have a large digital library of of stuff you won't find the time to play, just like OPL.

Considering on how he prioritises playing games over everything else in life, I can just picture that he has probably been saving like $5 a week for it. Like a 12 year old child would.

He'll get a PS4 for sure. He'll max out cards and use his to get it, claiming all the while it was a gift from a troll/fan. But he'd never save up to get it. Financially speaking, I was a lot like OPL when I was young. And even if I knew something I REALLLYYYY wanted was coming out in, say, a month, and knew I wouldn't have the money at that time and needed to save a little money weekly to get whatever item I wanted, I still wouldn't do it. I'd just be like "meh, I'll figure that out when the time comes and blow my current money on other stupid crap.." And then, when the time finally came and I didn't have a dollar to my name, I'd pitch a little bitch-fit and beg my parents to get it for me and I'd just pay them back over time. And it always worked.

...Yes, I was quite the asshat when I was younger, and yes my parents were saints for putting up with me.

Out of the PS4 launch titles Knack seems right up his alley. It's a cartoony platformer where a creature grows bigger as you walk over junk (relics) and when he gets hit he loses some. The junk is everywhere so you start out the size of a midget until you get enough crap to be big enough to smash buildings. It's pretty much Hoard the video game.

Know chris chan that 1 game is enough to get a ps4. I played a demo of it at gamestop, it seems alright, but it looks like a ps3 game graphics wise, though the controls were solid. As far as gameplay well, it's only a demo so I wouldn't be able to go into full details.

Anyways, even if chris chan sees only 1 game he likes he will still be impulsive, buy the ps4, and get 7 games with full dlc that he'll never play.

Yeah, he'll buy as many as he can but I think it's one of the few titles he'll invest time in. It's gotten mediocre reviews and doesn't look next-gen but Chris has a history of loving those games while he lets the real gems collect dust. Many PS4 owners will be playing the new Killzone (I think Destructoid gave it a 9.something. Not the gospel but it suggests it may be somewhat good) or the annual sports titles.
