Oh, especially if they've got tenure. I rewrote a portion of my post and forgot to edit back in the part where I pointed out how teacher's unions do the exact same sort of shuffle, which is why I brought it up in the first place.
Then there's that big building in NYC where shitty teachers who can't be fired (because unions) are instead paid to sit in a big room and do nothing for 8 hours a day.
People often refuse to believe that exists when I describe it to them, simply because of how mind-bogglingly huge the underlying problems have to be for it to be a real thing to begin with. Not just that the unions are so powerful there that you have to practically murder a student in front of witnesses to lose your teaching job in NYC, but that there are
so many shitty teachers who cannot be permitted to teach but also cannot be fired because of union protectionism, it's literally cheaper to just say "fuck it, shove 'em all in a big room and pay them to stay away from kids" than it is to say "fuck these union faggots, fire these teachers, and when the union sues, go public with all the details until the public burns the union headquarters to the ground and hangs the union leaders."
The cynic in me thinks it'd be kinda funny to go get a teaching degree, get a gig in NYC, and fuck up badly enough to earn "the transfer," and then make an open mockery of the whole fucking thing by getting a new "work from home" job and just fucking haul my daily work computer to/from that big empty room every day and just work the other job while double-dipping free pay from NYC. Right in their faces. But that's a lot of extra work when I could just go get a better job to begin with.
ETA:
The reddit comments on a post about erika walking out of the event crying are all mocking her and spamming charlie's second amendment quote (Evan doe leftoids are just as pro second amendment so they could murder rightoids and prevent le troon genocide and tyrannical government)
They deserve to witness, in person from the next seat over, their loved ones be fatally shot through the eyeball or in the neck, to be covered in their blood, and be tormented by the sounds of their dying loved one(s) gurgling through their own blood for a few last desperate gasps of air before dying in agony.
All of them. Every one of them should feel what she felt.
