Drug dealers are usually addicts themselves. The evil dealer who hangs outside schools to hand out free samples is a cartoonish fabrication and not real life.

Even if you don’t care about the lives of users (which would of course raise a very obvious point: Why care if they use at all?) you should care about how many of tax payers money are wasted on this.

And for the record, automatic death sentences for drug dealing would cost even more than locking them up for decades.

And it of course wouldn’t help beyond satisfying some weird sadistic tendency. China and Singapore regularly sentence drug dealers to death. And still deal with drug smuggling and selling.

Here are my counterpoints:

1) That shit does happen near or around schools. A teenager at our high school became addicted to drugs that were distributed by local drug dealers, and he murdered someone while on a binge. His dealers were indirectly responsible for the death of an innocent person.

2) If your crime causes the direct and indirect death of people, you deserve to be on death row.

3) Addicts are victims of the dealer and themselves. They require jail time and rehabilitation. That is enough.

4) You save costs by executing them with a guillotine or a bullet.

5) The United States’ permissive approach toward drug dealing has produced cities like LA or Portland, where crime is rampant. Places where drug dealers are executed do not have blocks of tents and junkies who shit in public spaces.

Full drug decriminalization.

Not legalization: Cops can still take it and give you a fine. But no more decades in jail because you sold someone some meth or had enough fentanyl on you to trigger some mandatory minimum.

Think of how much money states and fed gov would save. Or how much time would be saved in courts.

Oregon decriminalized drugs a few years ago and recently voted to go back to criminalization again because it didn't work. You don't save any money when you have packs of drugged out zombies shooting up and leaving needles all over, building homeless encampments and driving away people and businesses from the area, and committing all manner of other actual crimes either because they're too drugged out to care or because they want more drugs.

Jail is pointless for people, but they cannot be left to roam free because they're too much of a danger to themselves and others. That's why I like Trump's proposal that includes institutionalizing these people. They need to be put somewhere where they can clean out their systems and get treatment for actual problems that they have which they may be self-medicating with hard drugs.

The cheap option would just be letting them die, because everything else is expensive. Either you pay for police and prisons, institutions and clinicians, or invisibly as the homeless destroy the communities where they gather. Junkies are going to to be a drain on the system one way or another and many of them have no desire to get better. The only inexpensive option is to let them die.

The new episode just felt kind of bland anyways, it was interesting to see them try their hand at politics again but it was just the same Blumphf jokes that late night hosts have been making for a decade at this point. It felt entirely like it was trying to start a gay slap fight and not be funny.

I've read the majority of the post, because my hate for payment processors is personal as well. My take was he was referring to a few specific individuals as holes, long before I read any comments.
I'm not happy about the choice of words, but on a site where a ton of non-politically-correct swearwords are used, I feel getting upset over this is completely overblown.

IDK why people have a misconception that Matt and Trey were "both sides" or even pro-Republican. They always went pretty hard on Bush/Republicans/Republican voters during the Bush-era; while they barely addressed Obama for his entire 8 years as President. Where I grew up the river used to change different neon colors depending on what the factories up stream where making. General Electric was dumping PCB loaded transformer oil in to the storm drains that ended up in the river. The city had a fully combined sewer system that just dumped raw sewage in to the river every time it rained. The rocks where black and not even vegetation grew on the riverbanks.
Now 30 years later the river is alive. People fish and boat in it again. That is something real that the EPA did that actually made peoples lives better.

Part of me thinks people are mad about the Epstein thing. Regardless, I'm just disillusioned with American politics in general, and I can't force myself to lie to myself anymore and lump myself into either red tribe or blue tribe when you've done as much reading of political history and objective observing and reflective thinking as I have the past five years. I don't like either option, and if the mentality is "just hold your nose and vote R because you despise everything D stands for", then there really is no option for people like me who are politically homeless, is there?

EDIT: Ninja'd by @Velociraptor - you are spot on; "the man isn't far right enough" is a major contributing factor. As I said above, I don't like either party. There is nobody to vote for if the policy doesn't change or fix anything, but the rhetoric promises things too good to be true.

The last six months have been the most satisfying era of American politics in my entire life. But then, I voted for Trump because I want illegal spics & niggers sent home and libs to cry bitter tears as everything they love is torn to shreds.
