Vagrant Queen - Gay Niggers From Outer Space: The Syfy Series

I can't decide what I like the most:

- The embarrassingly awkward poses
- Incongruous facial expressions
- Cheap, uncanny lighting
- 2009 angry internet critic VFX
- IT'S NERF OR NOTHIN'!
- Eyesore unicorn vomit background

It's not an exaggeration to say that Youtubers produce better-looking video thumbnails on the regular. This looks like something three tourists took at a photo booth in a theme park.

I seriously thought the woman in front was a mannequin, holy shit.

And the man looks exactly like Jay Bauman.

Jesus christ my eyes are bleeding.

a sizable portion of the NuBSG fandom were a portent of things to come by attacking the original BSG and its fandom instead of coexisting.
I remember the "GiNO" people (a group of fans of the original series) who were doing that kind of thing.

Isn't that the basis of the "bisexual lighting"?

Get the choir ready..... Go woke,.....
I'm partial to the theory (which I first heard from Comics Zack, not sure if he originated it) that it's the other way around. Go broke, then go woke. A lot of these media companies are looking for magic beans to bring back the pre-internet glory days, and when someone comes along and says "There's a huge untapped market of women, minorities, and LGBTVHS that you can tap into with one weird trick", they're desperate enough to try it.
There's even some precedent for it - the first companies that did gay-friendly advertising made money and earned brand loyalty, because gay people, by and large, are a fairly sizable population of normal people with money to spend. However the people who would be into stuff like "Vagrant Queen" are few, and largely underemployed NEETs.

I didn't look at it like that.... It's got some logic. But Disney and Sony were not broke (Corona interrupting the money train aside)... Slightly unrelated but this showed up about Kathleen Kennedy's politics and agenda that goes a bit to explaining what she's done to lucasfilm. https://disneystarwarsisdumb.wordpress.com/2020/04/18/kathleen-kennedy-opposes-free-and-fair-elections/

This. "Muh woke" has always been an attempt at a payout, I always thought that people who thought companies made that shit because that was legitimately their endgame, that it's what they actually wanted to do the entire time, had to be mental. It's always been a marketing gimmick and the idea that people sincerely thought these companies were going to willingly burn down their business to stick with it are dumbshits, if that were the case why are they always getting shitcanned?
