One of the ways to do this is Angela from Silent Hill 2. Sexually abused by her father (and brother), she recoils at James' attempts to be friendly multiple times throughout the game. She just doesn't hate men, she's just understandably scared of them after quite a traumatic event she suffered multiple times, and even from important relative figures to add insult to injury. After some time, she apologizes to James after some trust was built up to know he was genuine all along.
The whole time she did not say some tumblr-esque variation of "I prefer women" nor act like a jerk, she was eerily quiet and fearful.

Everlasting summer was made in Renry and devs were able to add a card mini game into it. Renry is open source, so you can add more functionality if you need to.

And there’re 10+ artists working on this fucking game.
And none of them can draw bg or at least make a 3D model and hand paint on top of it. Damn, that’s tragic.
I just hope they use royalty-free photos or at least pay for usage of photo, bc that’s lazy af.

To go a bit further...

In the backgrounds folder, every filename is vtg_bg_cut_dani(location). Decent enough organisation-wise.

I'd guess this is short for validate the game _ background _ cut/edited version _ Dani _ Location. Dani is the name of the head developer, so we can safely assume she's the source and probably the photographer.

Judging by the distinctive red/cream building in the background, it's quite likely that Danilawn, Danilawn2, DaniCafe, Daniapt (it's a zoomed out version of cafe, check the wall lights) and possibly Daniroof are all in the same area of the same complex, just different locations. Probably her cool leg.

Then there's the sprites. I know this is just a sample, but... here's some random percentages for faces like annoyed, angry and disgust.
Anoki: 40%
Rocky: 0%
Emhari: 50%
Biggs: 20%
Alonzo: 50%
Arihi: 33%
Yolanda: 40%
Isabelle: 60% (Counting the Condescending face)

Does everyone need both an annoyed AND an angry face, generally among like... their first five faces? How long do you plan to have these people pissed?

For comparison, Maya Fey from Ace attorney has 12-13 front-facing sprites, not counting talking sprites. Ones that could be counted as angry total 1. She does have a set of five, where two of them could be described as tense, angry, or disappointed, so that's 40%... when she's serving as co-counsel in the court room, and dealing with criminals and Phoenix fucking up.
