Art doesn't look intentionally ugly, and given the amount of already intentionally and unironically fat/autistic/jerk characters I'm not sure how you'd tell if they made him like that out of spite.

It's because of the drama the team caused that's starting to give this game more attention to begin with. I guarantee you if the devs weren't sperging out on Twitter this project would fall into obscurity just like the Ankh one. You see it all the time. The creators throw a fit because they all have some sort of drama that they can't leave past the door for their projects and have no desire to act professionally. All of this could've been avoided if they just shut up long enough and just made their game.

I'm guessing they must have appealed to enough guillable people who think this is the grounds for finally getting rid of those awful, racist gamers lol. And that this will be the game that breaks those boundaries somehow. I guess.

-malik has not one, but MULTIPLE "babymamas"
-on top of that, its heavily implied he is an absentee father
-and it's outright stated that his father was absent as well
-anoki's parents were neglectful as well.
-if isabelle asks malik if he raps, he gets super offended and calls her a racist for assuming he raps because he's black
-even though, he does rap, and it's a large part of his character
-malik calls other characters "queen"
-malik also smokes weed and barely ever went to class in highschool

and to top it all off he is the manager of a fried chicken place.

It bears repeating again and again: the racist caricature of a black dude that is Malik (deadbeat, philandering, weed smoking rapper randomly giving out mixtapes while working in fuckin' Popeyes) is the only sane person and the most unintentional based character in game, bar fucking none.

Isabelle Morrigan. Latina yet she has a Celtic deity as a surname... guess they were either too lazy to do the research and google “most common Hispanic surnames” or similar, or didn’t care and just wanted to give her a snowflake name. Or it’s an homage to Dragon Age.

(There’s always the possibility she changed it... but if she’s so proud of her ethnicity why would she pick a name associated with a different one?)

I wish someone hated this game enough to do an EvaXephon and make a parody of it before ValiDate actually gets finished and comes out. It could be a dating sim where 8 game devs try to make the most woke piece of shit game ever known, but inbetween doing nothing at each dev's workstation at home they sex-pest each other and try to dox detractors online. Instead of a sexy payoff, you try to get into the most cringe situations possible, or get found out that you've creeped on kids or violated various financial laws scamfunding the shitheap and you get part of the team arrested or blacklisted from the internet in general.

I could probably help with writing this. We can call it CaliPHATE, about how moving to that moldy apartment sharing space with a Little Ceasar in Sacramento wasn't worth it.

Are we really surprised considering they traced the backgrounds/took official photos, put, filters on them and then claimed them as 100% original? Parodies have more class than these people do. And it's not like they're trying to emulate memes either (which don't look that good to begin with), it's just straight up copying a famous scene expecting no one to notice. A homage is one thing, but I'll never understand tracers that go for the most famous screenshots of movies/films/anime and wonder why people caught them on their bullshit.
