Lead developer has no idea either, it just says there was some suspicious account activity.
Double post since I want to take the time to talk about lead developer Dani a little. She makes a ton of tweets in one day, not just retweets but original tweets with content - this isn't too notable because its Covid AND winter in Chicago so you usually have fuck else to do but it does show how ingrained they are in twitter culture.
I can't tell how much of her tweets are jokes and how many are them earnestly being salty at other groups, the gay one in particular (I know she's salty at white people).
She says this about white people then they throw people of their own race straight under the bus. I know original sin of being white can't be cleansed, but she tends not to forgive the original sin of being a black male either.
She's so incredibly judgy.

I've seen so many people canceled on twitter. Race really doesn't factor into it - not unless its a white creator getting shat on for making a bad portrayal of a minority. You can check YA twitter, those bitches hold grudges and go unforgiven most of the time, having to get off twitter since they made 1 mistake and can't play with the cool kids anymore. Dani doesn't realize that the entire site is caustic, and she's one of the people contributing to it.
You know what gets me? For a game dev twitter, Validate nor Dani retweet much about other projects. Its not uncommon or unreasonable to only tweet news on a game, but for someone who really focuses on empowering POCs they don't seem to be an active person in the game dev community itself, unwilling or apathetic to games not her own or not something she stans already. Its surprising coming from a different corner of twitter game development where its common to occasionally promote others in the community.
Her linktree also links only to her cashapp, venmo, & paypal, which really speaks volumes. She feels incredibly selfish, as if she's internalized a lot of hate over the years and now demands things are handed to her instead. I'm glad she's actively working on her game and trying to provide a product, but its Her project she chose and made for herself and her select chosen, not you fucking plebs.
I think she's a jerk hiding behind her race, eager to dish out without taking it. She acts the same as other cliquish jerks who were made they weren't celebrated at school or anywhere else. I've met white eurodevs who have acted the same in the past.

Edit 2 electric boogaloo: sorry to be gay but thank you all for the informative ratings. On twitter no on would trust me and I'd get kicked in the nuts and hounded by her orbiters over this. People hiding behind "oh its an attack on OUR race/gender/sexuality" to get an army to fight their battles for them are awful. I hope Mx. Dani changes but you know, people are how they are.
Coincidentally I know for sure that 5 of them are white. I wonder if one of the team members will ever go off on a tirade about how so many white people like validate but not as many POCs. Imagine one of them outright stating all white people who follow validate even if trans gay disabled etc can go fuck themselves. 
I know how the song goes with white twitter wokes: only 4 people will unfollow while the rest of the hundreds of fans will cheer them on.
