Valve introduces Steam Deck

You could try switching to experimental. GE is almost always ahead of Steam’s version, but some people have success switching between one and the other.
Expermental won't work, trying 9.0 proton beta now, honestly pretty sure WMV only is used for the dvds in chris' room so its not major

That error is returned by the video player script itself.

That thing was written by a French dude in 2012 for XP, VX and VXace. There aught to be a better way to playback videos in RPGmaker these days.

I view it as an improved Steam Controller that doesn't always need a computer attached. The Katamari remasters are real fun to play on it.

Minecraft is probably my most played. I also do what Ness does and bop around a lot. If anything can be played on deck (and most things I’m interested in can), I prefer it. I like a handheld form factor, it’s cozy.
I've played a bit of Vintage Story on Steam Deck, but I must warn that it's hard to map every buttons to every keys. Same thing for modded Minecraft.

For some games where you can't save passwords on the launcher, there's a KDE Connect extension allowing you to share a clipboard between your phone and console. Just copy & paste your leftist-meme-sized passphrase, and off you go.

Yeah it isn’t perfect. Sometimes I’ll have to have a Bluetooth keyboard on an end table or something next to me, since the steam deck keyboard isn’t ideal or even utilized in all games, but that isn’t the worst. Thanks for the password tip though!

So I'm pretty bad at this shit but how do you sync 2 PS5 controllers to a docked Steam Deck to play multiplayer Emudeck stuff?

Does anyone have any estimates about how the Intel GPU in the MSI Claw will compare to the AMD ones in the Steam Deck and ROG Ally/Legion Go? And rumour has it that Nvidia is making a handheld PC but no idea when it will come out and if it will run windows Linux or android

Do you have an example? You usually have reorder controllers, but Emudeck might make things more complicated.

The Intel Core U7 155H is basically an unknown as even Arc still sees improvements through driver updates alone. MSI marketing itself seem to be simply crossing their fingers. Showing 155H specs is one thing, but it's literally the only handheld with that.

Sorry if I'm treating you like a retard, but I'll go with the whole process

In my case it's PS4 but I would hope it's the same deal. So odds are you will want to pair both controllers with the deck undocked for comfort. Once the bluetooth recognizes them, the pads will autopair with the deck assuming you don't par them back to a PS5.

So you follow the step to put the controller into pairing mode

In the steamdeck you go to the bluetooth settings and there you should see all paired devices and bluetooth devices that it isn't paired with but it's detecting, your controllers should appear on that lest once you comply with step 2 from the screencap. You select it and the deck should recognize it and pair it. Do the same with the second controller and both should be in your remembered features.

Aside from that, it just "worked". So I would now have both my PS4 controllers recognized by the deck, open emudeck, and open something like Super Mario Wonder on Yuzu and both controllers would work without issue. Did the same with Genesis and SNES so I can vouch for those two systems as well. The first controller turned on would basically be player 1 and I had no need to do anything else when it comes to emudeck settings.

Good luck with it.

I've tried MC on the deck but I've never gotten the controls to fell "just right" so I never stick with it. I'd use the deck a lot more if I could tolerate this.
What are you using to map inputs? I use midnightcontrols and it’s pretty plug and play, aside from needing a bluetooth keyboard for function keys

I have MC installed, added as a non-steam game, and have tried to use a bunch of the user contributed control mappings available via Steam.
