Is anyone else here a Binding of Isaac: Rebirth fan? I'm really looking forward to the upcoming final expansion Repentence!

It has one of the most distinct vibes I've ever felt in a game, with just the perfect cyberpunk dystopian tone. Too bad it slows to a crawl halfway through the game when you have to grind in the caryards for a while.
The developer(Beam(Melbourne House)) actually made a spiritual sequel of sorts, it's sci-fi and not cyberpunk but the lineage is there. It's called Alien Earth, was released on PC in 98, is incredibly obscure(there's not even a single playthrough of it on youtube from what I can tell) and the game is ROUGH. You'd think that having a game like Shadowrun playable with a mouse instead of d-pad would make it much better, but no!

Today on "bugs PGI has not fixed for years and never will fix":

The heat dissipation bug is still present and basically impossible to anticipate. You'll drop, start firing weapons, and notice that even with 16 double heatsinks you are not dissipating heat. At all. At this point you're absolutely fucked for the match, even a coolant flush is only a temporary fix. It can only be fixed by logging out of the game client entirely and logging in again.

The fractional damage bug is still present. You can reach a point where your structure on a critical component like CT is cherry-red, basically at ~1 HP, and you get a lovetap from an MG or whatever that causes fractional damage that brings it below 1 but above 0. You are effectively dead but not at this point. Your mech will fall over as if destroyed, but you can still fire weapons (uselessly, because you can't aim) and are not actually considered KIA yet. Solving this would be as simple as fucking changing a SINGLE GODDAMN NUMBER and PGI has failed to address it for YEARS now.

A number of maps still have horrific optimization or collision issues. Solaris City is easily the worst offender. Frozen City has spots hither and thither where you can absolutely get stuck and be rendered immobile unless you have JJs. Tourmaline Desert's rocky outcroppings still have a "hitbox" that extends NOTICEABLY farther than the rock itself and will block shots that should otherwise clear them.

Missile damage fratricide is somehow still a thing, where if you fire a group of SRMs at a target sometimes you will have two or more missiles hit the same component on the enemy... and it will only register ONE of the missiles as having done damage.

Rocket launchers, already basically a joke weapon, will bounce off enemy mechs harmlessly at a minimum range of about 50m. The catch? Sometimes they still bounce at 60 or 70m. No one knows why. People have suggested it's due to the rockets "materializing" in an area immediately front of your mech's foremost hitbox, so for mechs with big noses like Stalkers and Bushwackers this would be an issue... except it happens with pretty much any mech, including the flat-as-a-board Trebuchet and Commando. It's irritatingly inconsistent, as well, suggesting that it's just typical PGI crap coding at work.

And last but not least, occasionally you will get the error message "The lobby has been destroyed." while sitting at hangar screen. Nobody seems to know what this means, and it does not seem to affect anything in game.

I haven't played it in a bit, but I remember finding it fun. Might jump back in with this new expansion if it's good.

I keep being impressed by the MWO playerbase's sheer fucking retardation. Current "meta tactic" if you could even call it that is to run in a fucking circle around a large central feature of a given map. This "tactic" is extremely easily countered by forming a fucking firing line to meet/receive incoming and destroy them as they run around like fucking idiots, but good fucking luck getting the team to do that. There is absolutely ZERO thinking going on here, it's just an ouroboros of idiots trying to catch each other's tails. Also, if a single light mech does something like steps on the cap briefly, half your fucking team WILL chase it, abandoning anything else they are doing to do so. The light mech doesn't even have to have a cap accelerator or even really be a threat. It's like the scene from Finding Nemo where the seagull flock goes absolutely apeshit over the fish on the dock. MINE MINE MINE MINE

I played, beat and 100%'d Cyberpunk on PC and honestly don't think it deserves half of the hate it gets (on PC).

I haven't played it and I haven't been keeping up with the discourse surrounding it so take this with a grain of salt, but I've heard that whether it works on PC or not is basically a dice roll. Some people on PC report that it works fine, some people report copious amounts of bugs.

Sometimes you really have to be in a poorly-made match to really appreciate how fucking atrocious MWO's matchmaking is.
MATCHMAKER IS FINE THO.png

This?

This was an absolute fucking shitshow. What the actual fuck happened here? Why does PGI think this isn't a big deal? This is how you get people upset enough about this bullshit to OOB suicide (that Spider-5D on enemy team jumped over the wall OOB to suicide as last mech standing)

Bought Ion Fury in a recent GOG sale, despite the developers cucking out. Really enjoying it so far. Incredible map detail I've never seen in a Build engine game before.
I am sure the devs didn't cuck out also ions nice

The original wasn't a very good game, and the remake improves on just about everything. Unless you care about PvP in a from software game for some reason, then your username fits better than you lead on.
Except all the animations, the atmosphere and almost every design they changed. Sure it's a vast improvement if you want to play Disco souls but some of us value things other than particle effects.

Original Demons Souls was shit, sorry.
What a quality post. It was so shit they had to destroy a series tradition for diversity hires right? 100% an improved game because now it has 300% more watermelon fans and the final boss is white instead of brown. How could any one possibly not see how great Patches face and animation is?
