Started playing Slay the Spire. It's old hat now, I know how people talked it up a couple of years ago.

The game is too easy. On my second try I got to the heart and then googled wtf happened. Oh, complete it with all the other characters(no problem) and get all the keys. Sure, I did the other characters now I just have to get the keys.

Finished Cult of The Lamb recently, gotta say- I really enjoyed it despite the bugs and glitches I experienced every once in a while. Now give me a game that is just an endless cult management sim.
Oh, is it actually a linear game with an ending? I thought it was like a rogue lite or something, hadn't looked into it much. I'll have to then.

All my homies hate papyrus scripting.

All my homies hate attempting to directly change bethesda skeletons for the sake of making abominations out of npcs.

All my homies hate fucking with shit that's barely documented.

On another note I got Elden Ring and Sonic Frontiers 40% off today.

Crash/Spyro Trilogy on sale. Never played a spyro game before lol. Vague memories of crash demo (?) of the blonde girl riding around a China level...

Thoughts? Six games in one a steal imo

I think they both hold up pretty well, and I liked the remasters. Spyro is a bit easy (other than a few choice sections), but Crash can be pretty challenging when starting out (especially the 1st game) if you're going for completionist run with all the gems and time trials and whatnot. If you're into platformers, I think they're solid, especially if you're getting a good deal on all of them together.

Crash is worth buying on sale alone, Spyro is just a little bonus. And your vague memory is of Crash's sister riding through a level from Crash 3: Warped.

It is a rogue lite but it does have an ending, you just gotta go through the dungeons, gain more cult followers to open the next one up. tldr kill gods til you get to the big bad god and do what you want. You can do what you want to just manage your cult post game as well as re go through dungeons for the extra bosses and such.

I tried playing Quern but will give up after a few hours. It started out okay, but it has too much "go around the entire island looking for a changes/solutions", it's not really a puzzle when the devs just want to waste my time rather than have puzzles centralised in one area.
It doesn't help the official Steam guide is written by a tranny.

Epic games launcher is so goddamn bad, I started downloading Death Stranding yesterday at night, before I went to bed it was at 95%, after I got home from work today the game was still at 95%, I reopened the launcher to see if it finishes the download and it went back to 55%!!! and it started downloading super fucking slow.
This is a basic fucking function that has been working perfectly since the fucking psp, how can it not work well in a launcher from like 5 years ago?.

The only explanation I can think of is that it's stuck on downloading billion updates required for modern games rather than install the base game and then ask you if you'd rather wait for the patches.

You know what's funny? For years I've had it in my head that Square Enix should make a set of each Final Fantasy game with its own leather-bound case, and each one would come with a copy of the very first release of the game, alongside whatever's the best updated modernized version with the extra dungeons. Make it feel real nice and classy, magnetic closures on the sides and a faux velvet interior, along with a little booklet about the game. Each one's leather a different color, tastefully toned to each logo's color - Final Fantasy III's with a cyan tone, IV's in purple, VI's in red. Sell 'em all in a little box set that would actually look great on a bookshelf.

but NOOOOOOOOOOOOPE i must CON-FUCKIN-SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

A lenticular cover is one of the bonuses for dropping a mother fucking $260 on this? A lenticular cover? Like they gave away for free with Crash Bandicoot 2?

Fuckin'... yeah, they sure know how to take advantage of their fans. It's a ripoff, it's full of the usual consoomer shit like artbooks and vinyls, whatever, I don't care, but man, can there just be a single collector's edition out there, somewhere, that isn't just cut and pasted from a template? Undertale had a 14 karat gold music box necklace and that was just $60, and you mean to tell me that a couple of vinyl records kicks up the price by nearly $200? Fuck on outta here.

You know what? Forget the money, man, just give us something that's not totally useless or trite. Throw in some dish towels embossed with character sprites, or like, one of those singing toothbrushes that plays overworld themes. Something I've never seen in a collector's edition before. Even Call of Duty managed to pull that off, tossing in paracord wristbands and RC cars. Final Fantasy's one of the biggest video game franchises in the fuckin' world, and you mean to tell me that the original six aren't worth any more than some fuckin' vinyls, an art book, and plastic figurines? Show some fuckin' dignity, Square Enix. I know you greedy fucks are all about the benjamins, but you wanna make more money on your golden goose? Treat it like it's fuckin' special. Make your cash grab feel like a bona fide celebration. Not this cynical consoomer shit. Yeah, it will sell, and I'm certain it'll sell big, but associating your anthology with a buncha chintzy bullshit for streamers to show off is just fuckin' gross.

But you know what's the worst part? I got no real suggestions. I'm sure this is exactly the best way to pull the most money possible out of the Pixel Remasters, because consoomers will consoom regardless of quality, and I just have to sit here being mad at the internet, donning a stack of tophats, coping and seething because I can't get my fancy pants leather bound copy of FFVI with both the Woolsey translation and the bonus dungeons on a Switch cartridge.
I'd get a special edition of that but only for 12 and if the extra goodies are worth it. Square could make a metal die cast collection of the judges and that would be pretty badass. Their armor is begging for a die cast rendition. I think the last interesting special thing Square made is the custom Audi R8 V10 Plus Lucis edition for FF15. Yes it's a 100k+ car but it's also totally out there and that makes it cool.
