It was yesterday when I played Mario Kart 64 in over more than a decade, and for something that came out in 1996, it says a lot that a game like that looks more pristine.

Even your kart getting knocked down in a hole, in the water or even in the ice will have your controlled player lose balance and wobble left and right like it’s nothing.

It makes me appreciate the GBA version of Mario Kart: Super Circuit so much.

God damnit, MVG did a phone-it-in video on the PSP, prices are going to spike for hardware. I have two dead ones that need a couple parts and bench time, and I'm just too lazy to get around to it. My last screen source went from decent to chinese.

I found a way to get physical copy of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster for the Switch. Play Asia has them. I have never had to import a game so this will be my first time if I do. I will probably do it.

i love rain world but fuck me, sometimes i'll go weeks at a time without playing. you're under pressure pretty much all the time. you're on a timer to get to the next safe room before rain comes which can randomly be shorter or longer than normal. other wildlife goes around doing their own thing at random so you can get killed quickly and unexpectedly. dying several times in a row can set you back enough to make progression a difficult grind. it's all a part of the idea of the game but it can be looming and tense enough to sometimes be abrasive. i still need to beat the game and play the downpour characters.

Guys i would love your opinion on cyberpunk 2077,
i recently finished it and here is my views

1) Gameplay
Gameplay is absolutely horrible, none of the guns do enough damage and is even enjoyable. Most games, have one or more than one weapons that allow you to dominate or at least make combat more fun by doing insane damage or heavy enough to allow you to go one on one with strong units. The assult rifles are bad and even the assult rifles equipped by max tac is also the same used by the street gangs. ( i went full melee). Also serious lack in cyber ware
2) Faction and confusion
Cyberpunk 2077 has enough interesting factions, but the game didn't explored the factions, neither the factions come after you while you fuck them over and destroy their bases of operations like numerous times.
Also, i chose the corpo background ( as i work in corpo) the game never focuses even once at your background, there was this one mission in the end of the game. Where a guy who just like you got fucked over by Arasaka, instead of a well detailed mission that allows you to tie up the loose ends of your previous background which is ironical as the past never leaves you but your past never matters.
3)Ending
Call me a fanboy, but a fallout type of final factions choice would be great but the ending is basically five options, while the fourth one is literally "kill yourself" ( i would beat the guy who put the fourth option with a baseball bat for being such a fag) and fifth one is going full rampage alone, Arasaka ending which is basically just a contract signing and solving a rubic cube......, the alvacados was great and was worthy (reccomended), i ignored the johnny taking over and the other ways.
In the end, after all you did goes back to only two choices. Let johnny take the body or you live for the next 6 months....which made more sense of giving the body back the johnny. As even canonically, i felt this would be the suitable ending.
4) Story and Environment
I think the story went through some major changes after keanu reeves got into the role to suit him, making the story 60% revolve around him. To the point, there was this shitty designed side missions that you are supposed to complete which was all about his stupid band trying to revive themselves. While the only best thing was convincing the gay dude to pull up a gun on the j pop idols which was funny and great. Most arcs where also not the best especially the voodoo boys arc which felt like a fallout nv side quest.
I wished the story was more fully explored and more in depth, so much money was wasted and they didn't made any game suitable for what games was half the budget

I am playing parasite eve any advice also how do you get magic bullets
It's been quite a while since I've played it, and several times before, but:
-You can easily stick with pistols for the entire game, but rifles are pretty good too.
-Avoid upgrading the weapons with a rate of fire beyond x3 as the damage per shot decreases the higher RoF it is, thus wasting bullets. Random rate of fire is ass because you cannot pick up a target individually while a lot of battles involve more than one enemy.
-Avoid giving a Fire or Ice element upgrade to guns too as some monsters can have immunity for those.
-When leveling up, use your points for either a higher storage room or a faster-regenerating PE bar (the "magic" bar)

So shotguns are no good they seem pretty good

Started playing Little Nightmares 2. What a shit game. Feels like "horror game by committee". One of those "horror games" where you fight the game more than the enemies.

Finished parasite eve now i am playing 2 any advice on 2 this feels way different than 1 it almost feels like RE instead on 1. Screenshot_20230805-093553_DuckStation.jpg

Picked up battle brothers and I like how one of the 'easy' scenarios thats supposed to teach you how basic mechanics work is a handful of your mercs being swarmed by a grossly numerically superior army of werewolves. Also I'm not sure how they calculate 75% to hit but BB 75% seems to land way less often than even an xcom 75%.

One touch I do like is the increased realism so to speak with the lack of the obligatory xena warrior women mercs inserted everywhere else in this genre. Not even tokens to satisfy 90s sensibilities. Its just full bore realistic medieval soldiers, at least at this early point. I know there are witch enemies and so forth but you don't have the gender diverse armies you're starting to see everywhere else. Its so everypresent in the rest of modern games, this seemingly minor thing makes it feel very different and more grounded.

I’ve been playing a game called Barony.
It’s a rogue like dungeon crawler immersive sim.

“Here’s a dnd race and class system and a bunch of tools go get your ass kicked” is the game really. I love it a lot, much charm and love went into the game.

I have recently been playing Ace Combat 7 since it was in my backlog. What an underwhelming experience, it had potential and the whole game feels lacking. The missions don't make up for the hokey AC story. There's only so many times you can fight Mr. X and the Aerial Bird and a fuckload of drones or Su's. They keep making you do it after like 1 shitty gimmick mission. It's seriously the first game that's left me saying "That's it?" At least I got it on sale a while ago. I like flight sims and enjoy going to military air shows so I was kind of excited to play it just to fly Su's and F-16s,22s, and 35s. The Top Gun DLC was free and gave me gay looking planes that are OP in multi.

Sounds like Assault Horizon Strangereal edition. I think AC4, 5, Belken War will remain the series greatest hits the same way Need For Speed Hot Pursuit, HP2, Underground, Underground 2, Most Wanted, and Carbon will be that series's greatest hits.
