A new Perfect Dark was announced. It's not Perfect Dark.

The comments and like-dislike ratio are mixed.
You know what else is not perfect? Kolbe Payne, level designer for Perfect Dark, caught acting like an ass to gamers again, claiming that "gamers are a mistake" and they're "racist pigs" over forced DEI such as raceswapping. And now he's hiding, claiming to be on "parental leave".

He has a history of shitting on gamers as "bigots" back in June 2024.

since there is no thread officially i will give my thoughts
it's perfectly ok with what you expect from a hero shooter. I feel like that is to its detriment that it's Marvel themed because it attracts people that probably aren't familiarity with how to play Hero Shooters and don't understand team synergy.

If my parents named me Kolbe, I'd prolly be full of impotent rage too.

Kuon turns 20 years old today, and it’s considered to be one of the most rare and expensive games to own for the PS2. In fact, it’s so rare that prices for the game range from $890+ to almost $1,000 for it to be in excellent and new condition.

Either way, it may have been panned on release date to the point where it was not marketed well for North America during its time, but it’s still an interesting game that delves deep into Japanese horror and spirits involving folklore of ancient Japanese history:

im convinced EA just ignores criticism but it honestly wouldn't suprise me if the executives are butthurt about all the criticism

I would think the developers get even more butthurt about criticism, since they give them impression that they don't have a backbone. The Sims Team stands out as the big example, and DICE too with their devs saying things like "BRUTAL EXPECTATIONS".

With the game awards bringing Balatro into the spotlight I decided to finally try it seeing as I have access to it because of my Steam family library. It's good... but damn is it overhyped. It's really nothing too special in the rouglite deckbuilder sub-genre. There's a lot I don't like about it such as certain boss blinds just being impossible for certain deck builds (single hand type, no repeat hand type or only one hand total being examples) but that isn't my biggest problem. The issue that killed all replayabilty for me is the impossibly fast scaling after like ante 12 endless. Rouglites like this need a good endless mode with properly scaling difficulty to remain replayable, but because of the EXPONENTIAL increase you're basically pigeon holed into very very very specific kinds of decks to even dream of moving on, and even then I'd be surprised if passing ante 13 is even possible with how absurd it is. I got through like the 3rd level of stake challenge and then I just saw no reason to play anymore even though there were still a few more stake challenges. I've played Slay the Spire for like 4x as long and I could probably go back to it, but I honestly feel like I've done everything meaningful in Balatro.

I'm waiting on the inevitable PC port of Bloodborne. We've seen Sony time and time again port their "exclusives" and it's not like there's any shortage of stuff to play in the meantime.

Sad to see Rareware so thoroughly ruined.

"It's not okay to be white and anything is preferable to being white". I honestly wanna see these job interviews. Like how do they show up and go "I hate being white" and get applauded by it? Surely at least the HR in charge of recruitment isn't some angsty feminazi, or maybe they're so braindead akin most of game development that they're only in the business by happenstance and not because they're into games.

An immersive World War II combat experience sets in the Pacific Theater without woke-inclusive shits? Sign me up.

Oh who am I kidding, I don't have time to waste playing these Milsim genre anymore.
Although, these trailers are a lot more impressive than anything being produced by EA.

Now that the dust has settled, what's Kiwi's opinion on UFO 50? I kept away from reviews due to not wanting spoilers, but at the same time I was put off by the tumblr art style everything had.
