Counterpoint: I have maybe an hour of time at most to post and reply to people on an average day and I’d rather not spend that time fighting someone or a group of people about something I don’t have any interest in arguing. I just want to talk about games I like.
Yeah. Just do that, then. When it comes to de-shitting a thread, someone else agreeing with you works a hundred times better than winning a slap fight anyway.

Amazon Luna will remove access to all purchased and claimed games on June 10 / [A]. No refunds will be issued.

Liking games unironically in Anno Domini MMXXVI is suffering. Can’t talk about games here because everyone hateposts about games. Can’t talk on /v/ because everyone just posts porn and X screencaps. Can’t talk on Reddit because I have to respect xir’s she-nis and protest in support of third worlders. Can’t talk on Steam because people there are asylum runaways. Can’t post on a game forum because they all died. Can’t post on Discord because everyone’s trying to groom minors or post porn. I guess playing video games alone as an old millennial is my fate.
On reddit if you get downcummied it actually hides your shit and likely leads to a janny removing it. On here the :disagree:'s don't do anything (and it's not likely a janny will banhammer you from the gaming forum) so I'd just post your shit.

The end of California centric game studios draws near
Refusing to move out of one of the most expensive cities in the country for a trade that has no intrinsic location dependence is the sort of retardation that begs God for punishment. Enjoy getting undercut by the East, stalker children!

I wonder if/when Amazon will stop giving away free games on other platforms. They recently rebranded that to be part of Luna but it doesn't sound like it's impacted here.
Not that I'll care too much because the games are kind of crap. Fairly often they'll give away a game on EGS that was already given away on EGS itself, or vice versa.

Launched a fresh playthrough of Crosscode since Alabaster Dawn is slowly forming(early access). I've played the game multiple times but never finished it(gone as far as the sapphire whatever) so I'm planning to finally finish it since Pipistrello got me in a zelda clone mood.
God I forgot how comfy the music in the game is.

Buddy just post about your game here and chances are any retards won't bother. If they do, then don't respond because they're retards and they would not have put the tiniest bit of effort into their post, ergo they're not worth responding to and it's not like /v/ where the entire forum is like that so you're ice skating uphill trying to talk vidya.

My favorite studios got ripped apart 10 years ago when the dangerhairs forced out everyone to the right of Elizabeth Warren.
I really like how studios that dangerhairs have absolutely negative interest in are trucking along, men and women working together and being normal, no scandals, no twitter drama.

Tiburon, they make the EA NFL games. They might include something woke into the game, idk, I'm just using them as an example, but there's no formerly employed loon on twitter claiming it's actually a mens rights rape dungeon with a breast milk problem.

While I chip away at Crimson Desert (about 75 hours in and am only just leaving the first of four regions) I've also been playing smaller stuff for variety. One of these is Grind Survivors which is a very standard Vampire Survivors clone. Not great, not awful, but decent. I've encountered a few of these that are barely functional chasing the bandwagon but this one at lest can stand up on its own - stupid name aside.

Started playing Wild Hearts again and besides having to remind myself not to play it like MonHun, the bones of a fun game are certainly here albeit at an unstable framerate that may or may not freeze your whole computer if you have background apps eating up your CPU.

It's certainly odd, but the combination karakuri are a neat mechanic that feels a lot more broken than I expected. The firework combo is essentially a flash bomb that works every time.

I doubt it. They put game studios in California specifically because it's the state that most favors their blatantly anti White male rhetoric and policies; that's the same reason so many corporate headquarters are placed and stay there. Moving somewhere like Georgia would be exponentially cheaper, but they wouldn't be able to pull half of their bullshit there like they do in California since the courts, cops, and government wouldn't be 100% on their side. Money does not really matter to these people, and they will crash every single one of these companies into the dirt before they would stop pumping out awful propaganda.

They also can't go international because foreign people overwhelmingly despise American progressivism. Sure, you can build a studio in Mumbai, hire a dalit, and instruct him to do the needful for you, but he won't truly believe like a progressive will, and you will get all of the low quality that brown workers bring to top it off. That's assuming they don't just "misinterpret" what they were told and make a hot White chick so they could goon to it, and infuriate their overlords.

What games? You care way too much what other people think. If your tastes are shit, then own your shit tastes with pride, ignore the naysayers, and engage with fellow holesum chunguses such as yourself.

Is going into other progressive Western countries like Canada and Australia not an option? Canada is literally the home of Sweet Baby Inc. Or is slightly lesser Canadian and Australian wages not enough of a money saver compared to hiring Pajeets or Argentinians or some other third-world country devs?

I have a confession. I think Starfield is kinda alright.
These kind of confessions are often followed by suicide. Don't do it man. Live.

As for myself, I'm kind of enjoying Armored Core VI. I'm an AC noob so I have no reference point, but it's a neat game. Delightfully simple in a way, although I haven't gotten far yet.
The biggest thing to get used to is the movement. One would imagine a certain level of slowness when giant fucking robots move, but no, they zoom and zap all over the fucking place. At first I hated it, now I'm starting to accept it. It does add an element of skillful evasion and smart quick pathfinding into the game.

Anybody has heard of 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand? If not, it's a score based, drop-in, drop-out co-op third person shooter where you play as 50 Cent or G-Unit in the Middle East to obtain a diamond encrusted skull as payment for a concert.

It's as absurd as it sounds. That's where its charm comes in. It doesn't take itself seriously. Its development story is as interesting as the game proper.

  • Blood on the Sand was originally contrived as a Tom Clancy game before shifting gears to a tie-in for a canceled series called Covert-One.
  • Developers also changed hands from Vivendi to Activision before THQ bought the rights to it.
  • The game was conceptualized and mostly completed before the game changed hands.
  • Vivendi positioned to repurpose it into a 50 Cent game as THQ had the rights from a previous game, Bulletproof.
  • 50 Cent was heavily involved in the game's direction and development compared to Bulletproof,...
    • The diamond encrusted skull plot was from a magazine that 50 read one time.
    • The overall premise was to be "like an action film," specifically Blue Diamond.
    • Helicopters were a last minute addition from 50 Cent's son. The engine was not designed for helicopters in mind.
    • 19 unreleased tracks from 50 Cent were added as unlockables.
  • Despite the game's critical success, BotS was a commercial failure likely due to 50 Cent's declining music sales or other high profile games being released then.
All in all, a good time if you like arcade shooters and 50 Cent. I've 100%'d it recently. This IS a rare game, so it would cost you a pretty penny if you want to obtain it. WAY more than 50 cents.

It's a good starting point. 6 was my first as well but I've since played 4, 5, and FA and highly recommend them all.
