You are a faggot if you think gank squads are fun. Try reading the thread instead of rage posting about someone calling you a faggot you would see no one likes Souls PvP because people like you force only those people to invade. Any one who thinks PvP might be fun for half an hour before they kill the boss of an area and move on don't do invasions because faggots like you find ruining that aspect of the game fun.

there's no need to get so upset we start calling eachother names, little buddy! i'm sorry, not for the act of having fun ganking invaders with the boys, but how it's ruined your experience.

Co-op is broken in DS3, but I don't think it's fair to get mad at people for abusing it. Blame the developers for fucking up the system so badly, not the players.

Souls games have always been broken and the community mostly held it together despite that.

Every time something has been broken in these games, people have abused it. Remember Dark Bead? Pre-nerf Mundane weapons? The only difference between then and now is that the broken thing being abused now is so broken that it's killed Invasions for a lot of people, and that's solely the fault of the developers.

Hello Mr. scrub. Dark bead doesn't have shit on Dark souls 1 at release. Having players you can't lock onto doing flips in full havels and 1 hit killing you.

it looks like Klei was bought out by Tencent

I personally haven't played any klei games in years. I thought ever since they created DST they just kept continuously fucking up, no consistency, a lot more ingame purchases with a heavier presence on the steam marketplace. Little to no focus on their lore, story, with a shrinking community. It's kinda sad because I used to be the bigest fan of Klei way back in 2013, and to see them guzzle cum over and over again ever since DST launch has been so shitty to witness. Contrarians and kids don't seem to really care about the buyout though, which is pretty lulzy.

I remember when they hosted puzzles and discussions about each trailer on their forums, and I remember getting so hyped for a Charlie arc that never happened. They completely lost their magic after that.

in a way I'm pretty thankful that nowadays I just don't care for a company, they all always end up disappointing one way or another.

Something interesting I've discovered in MWO.

I'm being sandbagged by the matchmaker.

How do I know?

The one win I've had tonight was a reasonably competent team that demonstrated a decent amount of aggression and awareness. Queue up for next match, suddenly most of my team from last match is on the other team.

Lo and behold, I struggle to deal with a passive bunch of fuckwits that practically let themselves get steamrolled.

There is a theory afoot that there is something in place that tries to drive players towards 1.0 W/L. This is an individual stat, the W/L ratio, but it's heavily influenced by your TEAM. So with that in mind, for this theory to bear fruit, they would have to have a system that applies flags to individual players - "Sandbag him, throw him a bone, etc". It should be noted that PGI has refused to show all the nuts and bolts of the matchmaking system. I suspect it's because if someone took a good hard look at it they'd realize the MM actually RIGS games. It's interesting because it LET me build up a positive W/L (greater than 1) for probably my first few weeks of playing on this account - and then it started fucking me in the ass, very hard, like it's trying to correct something.

Oh, it gets better too. I tell someone on my team in last match that I'm pretty sure I know what's going on with MM, and for some reason next match I have a 300 ping. Out of the blue. My connection is fine, I was on the NA servers which typically give a 50ms ping tops for me.

A shitton of online multiplayer games do this, practically any matchmaking system that takes into account anything other than putting players into a lobby quickly with good connections will probably try to force a 50% winrate on you.
For a lot of games with ranked modes, it's usually used to throttle how fast you can rank up, usually to get players to play way more than they should otherwise need to to progress.

You know what I hate?

The fact we can't have a slasher movie-themed video game without it being one of those asymmetrical multiplayer Dead by Daylight ripoffs

I'd love to see a single-player slasher movie game. You already have a good template with Manhunt (if you want to be the slasher) and with Clock Tower and Alien Isolation (if you want to be the Final Girl)

Picked up Project Warlock again because fuck it why not

get like 2 minutes into a game and realize my computer sounds like it's getting ready for liftoff

"wtf"

alt-tab out to check Afterburner's monitors and this fucking game is driving GPU temp up to the 80s C

"WTF"

FUCKING UNITY DEVS

It wasn't doing this last time either so what the hell

I don't know what fucking API these retards are using but so many games these days turn my PC into a jet engine even when they couldn't concievably be generating that amount of heat normally. It's fucking scary.

one theory I've read is that unity doesn't cap the framerate unless told to, so the GPU goes all out (usually prevalent in menus and start screens etc). then the game itself isn't properly optimized so gpu gets stressed more than usual. I could never replicate it myself, so who knows.
fwiw lot of unity games don't have that issue, and since most amateurs/newbies use the personal version that shows the splash screen and "pro" games usually don't it gives unity the undeserved stigma of being shit.

Might try using Radeon controls to cap framerate and see if that helps because I promised myself I'd do a higher-difficulty run through PW.

Fuck I just remembered I got Wasteland 2 DC a while back and basically never touched it

I should do that, I think

So uh

Combat in Wasteland 2 DC is... pretty fucking solid for turnbased. Feels nice. Very satisfying to have my Injun sniper/animal talker ambush and one-shot bandit mooks with the pistol-toting skillmonkey acting as very effective and hard-to-hit bait.
