Not so sure about that, Ninja leaving for Mixer wasn't enough to make it a good competitor to Twitch. I doubt Vinny would have much impact at all.

I'm not thinking that a theoretical move to another platform would lead to actual competition. It would just mean I would have absolutely no reason to ever go back to Twitch considering everyone else I used to watch stopped streaming or became insufferable. Even now I overwhelmingly just watch the VODs on youtube.

FYI everyone: I recently found that Joel's Ghostbusters Album is the perfect medicine for the post-Election blues. In my deepest blackpill state, hearing a grown Swedish man say "McDonkies" in an exaggerated accent warms my heart.

Be fair, the transition to other platforms isn't as bad anymore. It ain't like a Mixer situation in which the platform is still young. Toast and Dr. Disrespect are doing great on their respective platforms (FacebookGaming and YouTube) and don't have to deal with the emote nature of Twitch. I always wonder why Joel has so many tech issues on his streams, even with games that one wouldn't expect any issues with. I'm sure he doesn't make as much money from Twitch as Vinny, but can he really not afford a higher quality PC?

Joel doesn't prepare for any stream ever, even if it's planned well in advance and just streams whenever he wants.

vinny has a team that checks everything out first and gets readme.txt's with any issues and fixes noted, joel just goes for it (as stated and as evident.)
