Speaking of Vinesauce cameos I was surprised to hear Vinny's voice in a random GTA video I was watching:

When then led me to this video:

I doubt the guy in the first link even knows where the voice is from but it was nice to see Vinesauce memes be used outside of his community.

I think the booru is missing a couple of crucial things that would save it I think. Better tagging and ratings.

Here you have Gelbooru and e621's information about an image. Usually, it shows whether the content safe, questionable, or explicit. If the Vinesauce crew wants to add these features they probably can and it would probably make showing art a little easier on everyone. Encouraging people to tag properly does wonders which means you can blacklist certain things you don't want to see and having clear rules in place to prevent people from posting porn. Like I mentioned before, getting rid of a booru with about a decade's worth of fanart would be foolish, because sometimes not everyone has a back up of the art on hand.

Also you have thumbnails like this being made and approved by the Sauce Boss himself so...

Sauce Boss also stopped showing the art on stream and prerecorded videos to maintain distance from the validation seekers in his audience (that wanted to get a live reaction out of him) so perhaps art teetering towards the NSFW-side on the booru wasnt exactly the problem now was it.

John Fullsauce putting in spicy thumbnails doesnt mean Vinny would want to allow explicit content on the booru. He's not concerned about the booru anyways, and it always breeds some sort of drama because of the artists. As for the remaining Vinesauce-associated streamers, it's really on them to handle how they want their art to be shown.
Best thing for them to do is to create their own boorus and govern how they want it to be tagged, so each streamer has a booru catered to their preferences.

Why do you think I mentioned blocking tags or actually sorting whether things are questionable or not. Most modern boorus have this system implemented for a good reason. The problem with the vinebooru is that it's a bit outdated and clearly missing features that are vital. Making separate boorus for the other the members doesn't make any sense since all you have to do is make a tag for that specific person and add whatever categories that fit the criteria.

As for the attention seekers...I doubt that wasn't the only issue, since porn has shown up on the booru from time to time due to a lack of moderation. Removing the booru won't get rid of attention seekers or drama; it will manifest itself in other ways since even in this very thread people get way too obsessive over Vinny. Whether it be his past, personal information, people he's interacted with and so on.

It's his decision in the end, but all I'm suggesting is a possible solution to the problem.

Jabroni Mike already has a separate booru from Vinesauce and its fine. I mentioning him because his art would get posted on the Vinesauce booru for a while. Some of the other streamers just utilize twitter or have their community post the art on reddit. You dont need funny streamer man to show the art and make a live comment on it. People got way too attached to the idea. Artists can archive art on their own, on their own social sites, blogs or whatever. The Vinesauce team (it isnt a team anymore btw) doesnt need to keep carrying around more than 10 years of art.

People put so much damn emphasisis on the art when it shouldve been more about the streamers and video games. And like I said, why would Vinny even want to bother with it. He's not even showing the art. He's not going back to showing art segments, that's it. There's what like 5-6 years of art segments? The guy can take a break from it.
You speak about people being obsessed here, but you're also here and not willing to give up a place that Vinny has said his peace with.
I take it you're an artist that posts to the booru as well?

I don't post to the booru at at all, but I don't think it's fair to just throw it all away because of a few bad apples. It seems to me more of an deeper issue of toxic fans and artists clashing with each other. I found it a little odd when Teckworks mentioned that he felt unwanted in the community even though most of his posts were SFW enough for the booru. He even mentioned that others would overstep basic boundaries when it came to the art they would produce which could have been easily solved with proper moderation.

For example I'm in a community discord that a youtuber/streamer has and he has several active moderators on standby that prevent people from posting things that are inappropriate. They basically set rules for the fanart that are pretty much common sense: No NSFW, no shipping, no tracing, and no pinging. Despite the large amount of fans there, most of them follow those rules and if someone steps out of line they reprimand them appropriately.

The art has always been a part of Vinesauce whether you like it or not. Sure he doesn't need to post the art segments as often as he used to, but they added to the fun from the the various streams they came from. If you want to talk obsessive, back in April there were people here freaking out because he was taking a hiatus. There were even wack-ass detectives trying to avenge his honor or some shit like that. But I think that even the fans themselves don't want to admit they're a part of the problem. I took a step back and started interacting with other streamers and their fanbases weren't nearly as vicious as Vinesauce fans have become over the past 6 years.

Also you must be new here because the reply feature is at the bottom right. 😏

Too lazy actually. You can look in my post history and see otherwise
Also, wasn't Teckworks responsible for borderline furry art. You can't tell me people in the Vinesauce community, including Vinny didn't have a problem with it.

Vinny seemed well aware of who Teckworks was since he also works with Southbird as well, but I don't think the nsfw art he did outside of Vinesauce really bothered him. I think the whole drama regarding furry art was something that didn't even happen on the Vinebooru at all but Vappy getting a commission that had a vineshroom in it.

As far as I know, he didn't have a problem with it initially, considering the fact that a large amount of his fanbase are also furries themselves. He pretty much added fuel to the fire with the Cherry fanart he was getting and let's be real, Vinny isn't some asexual virgin who's too pure for smut (even though people legitimately think this way about him). He talks about a fair amount of weird shit like clowns stapling their balls to entertain people or any variant of _ussy.

Also he had less of a filter back then which lead to stuff like this being allowed.
chrome_Oku2zyuJ2c.png

Maybe because of certain fans and twitch guidelines, he had to tone it down which is kind of understandable I guess.

IIRC the furry stuff was getting out of hand with people drawing furry versions of Vinny himself which is what made him uncomfortable?
The only one I remember was the Vineraptor because people were putting detailed bulges on it. Duck versions of him however were perfectly fine since that's his favorite animal.

Have we heard whether Vinny or Jobel will be doing live coverage of the Game Awards tonight? I know doing coverage of live events has been more dicey in recent years due to the DMCA crackdown on Twitch, but their commentary usually makes the event actually palatable rather than the usual politically correct industry cringefest it is on its own.

Edit: Binyot live

Joel is the only one who manages to make E3 and the Game Awards entertaining for me. I'd rather read the news the next day than watch this shit live, otherwise.

I hope so. Can't imagine actually watching it by myself otherwise.

Edit: And Vinny's live. Also, peak cynical Vinny.
