I'm waiting for the day Joel snaps and starts telling people in droves to fuck-off.

I know he's a silly goofy nice guy, but he's done it in mini-spurts before with his chat, especially in any hardcore friday stream, but it's getting to the point where he might have to tell an entire group of people to go the fuck away.

Transphobia = Political.

Some might say it's hypocritical, but I like to break down this argument into a universal conclusion; To do something is inherently apolitical, it's "just an action with no other meaning because it makes the person happy." While to be against that "meaningless" action/thought is depriving that person of their right to expression, dehumanization.

Only through opposition can something be political.

Ergo;

Drawing swastikas = Not political.
Telling people not to draw swastikas = Political.

Burning pride flags = Not political.
Telling people not to burn pride flags = Political.

See it all makes sense now, let people enjoy things.

I saw this as soon as Joey posted it and immediately cringed knowing what this was going to attract.

Also, I don't really interact with the community much at all but something I've come to notice is that the whole "Uncle Joel" bit is exclusively used by the most obnoxious parasocial people I've seen. I used to think it was somewhat endearing as a nickname but it seems like nowadays people who still use the moniker genuinely see him as some kind of uncle figure

to those who don't know the green creatures around him are the mascot of the area, the kiwilings (who are wearing viking hats here with fren).
 
Have you guys taken a peek at Uzi Island? As said in the Wplace video, it's where Joel wanted the chat to make it completely full of frens, and while they're doing that, they're also extremely insistent on shoving their unrelated identities in your face.

Last time I checked this Barney fren, he was normal. What's the point of ruining your own creation just to hashtag own the chuds?

I've been checking this place on and off and believe it or not, it actually used to be worse than this too. People have been battling over flags and I hope by the time Joel streams this, the island is a bit more bearable to look at.

While there have always been ups and downs, I think we can firmly pinpoint the false accusations fiasco as a point where Vinny's interest and momentum fell off a cliff.

As for Joel, I frankly don't have a good read on him, but I remember the occasional great time pre 2018.

IMO, "GRAND-DAD!" moments aside, once he stopped the fake voice thing and started to gain more self-confidence, that's when things got better. Hardcore Fridays were better. The bootleg videos were better. Windows Destruction got better. Vinewrestle got better. Before that it always sounded like he was uncomfortable and unsure of himself or even what to do.

Its a combination of his English getting better but also him no longer being a kid too. When Vinesauce first started Joel was like 16/17 or something though he also didn't start streaming right away but it was still really early on.

Last Joel vid I got a kick out of was the Indonesian GTA SA bootleg vid he did in 2015. Vinny....maybe the Gulman 3 one? That was definitely 2015 as well. Actually no, the Crimelife 3 one was funny shit.
