Vinny put out a demo reel for his voice acting:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=Zi7lXpPaabsListen to all the different voices you can hire him for like:
  • normal speaking voice
  • normal speaking voice
  • normal speaking voice
  • exaggerated middle age
  • exaggerated middle age
  • Luigi
  • exaggerated middle age
  • Mario
  • normal speaking voice
  • Mario
  • normal speaking voice but quieter
  • normal speaking voice
Some people will hire him purely for a Vinny cameo and that's about it. I feel for him but he has no range.

Clearly its working since hes been a voice in multiple actual video games and cartoons now.

The "voice actor" thing always seemed kinda forced to me, Vinny does some good impressions but they're just that, impressions. If anything Joel might have more range than him. That said he isn't necessarily bad and I don't doubt he could get better over time if he decided to take it seriously

He fell for the "you should be a voice actor bro" meme that anyone whose ever done a decent impression has heard before.

Where can I see Vincent's previous girlfriends ? I wanna know if he's got good taste. Someone posted some massive breasted goth a few years ago but was never able to find confirmation

This stream was one of a handful of post 2015 Vinesauce streams I actually got a kick out of. When he boots the game up and gets his ears obliterated by the FMV...too funny.

I was sure that him calling it "VO reel" was just a joke and he meant it as "here's all silly cameos I did over the years in whatever crap people invited me to", but troons in the comments are sucking him off for "actually being a good voice actor" and this thread is also taking it seriously so what the fuck do I know.
vinny has really been fellating himself more in the past year or so
In general or just in his usual way when he forgets that he's not a real musician/songwriter and starts talking about Rex Viper Red Vox as if 100 percent of his listeners are not just pretending to care about his music because they watched Vinny play romhacks about pregnant Sonic or whatever?

The thing is that he actually does get VA work, apparently.

He had just showed off another animation project he did VA work in during yesterday's stream in fact, where he voices a Canadian goose in his iconic Vinny Vinesauce voice. I think people just hire Vinny so that people can point and go "Look it's Vinny!!", not a horrible voice actor by any means but just, you know why.

Oh, come on. Red Vox is nowhere near that level of "vanity band".

I ignored Vinny's Red Vox shilling for years because I was thoroughly uninterested in checking out a band just because it was by a streamer I liked. Then one day Spotify threw one of his songs in my Discover Weekly and I didn't realize it was Red Vox until I went to go like the song.

He's a bit hit and miss for me, but a lot of his music is genuinely good imo.

The Egoraptor of VAs: Italian Edition
To me, half of these wouldn't sound so bad if he could hide the fact he's reading a script. He's also not that good at acting like he IS the character he's playing or as though he's projecting himself onto the scene as if he's actually there too and not just doing a voice for the sake of it. That's why VAs always say acting is at least a prerequisite when thinking about getting into VAing. To some that can come naturally while others need practice or just good direction with their acting and some people are just better suted as type casts becasue that's just what they're best at, which I feel is what Vinny mostly falls under. In most cases he works best when he's adlibbing bits and exaggerating because he's setting up the scene and why shit like his Mario and Luigi voices sound more natural, but when isolated and given rules/restrictions, his VAing suffers and sounds mediocre.

You can tell which projects have someone actually directing him. Fox in Space and his second role in Monkey Wrench are where he sounds the best, and that's likely because the creators put in more work to get him sounding right for the role.

Even more professional voice actors sound like shit when they're not directed well. For the people hiring him because OMFG IT'S BINYOT i doubt they'd put in the extra work to give him direction.

lurked around before but never had nothing to add. till now. sorry. the voice work for the goose video was terrible. and the bit at the end, "back back back." the voice delivery is so flat, so dry. chris pratt-like acting dilemma. feels like vinny's trying to play himself as a character instead of being an actual character. no offense
Yeah that goose video he shared was awful. What makes it worse was the other guy was actually trying.

I've said this for much of US localization and voicework in video games, but it applies to Vinny as well: Being able to do a lot of wacky voices is not the same as being able to voice ACT.

A guy can do a thousand different voices, but if you get a guy who does just one voice, but actually reads lines convincingly, they blow the voices guy out of the water, every time.
Only exception is a voices guy who can also voice act. But those guys don't touch video games or anime as a rule, they stick to Disney and big leagues shit.
There's a reason video games/anime is a pool of mediocrity when it comes to voicework, and primarily it's because the big shots consider those to be beneath them.

Now the fact that games are a larger industry now as well is something they've yet to catch up to. When/if it does, a lot of those people in what I can only describe as the localizer-sphere are going to be in trouble. For now, all it would take for Vinny to get in is the proper contacts, that industry works entirely on networking to the point of being incestuous.
