Maybe going against the grain, but I don't tend to enjoy most of Vinny's group streams. There's always someone who just rubs me the wrong way and I have to turn it off.
I'm the same way! I almost always try to give it a chance, but a lot of times I have to shut it off. I really enjoy the 7 Days to Die stuff with his mods. I can't watch VR anyways because even just watching it makes me feel gross so I'll either shut it off or have it on in the background.

I can enjoy most of the "playing with my mods" streams, because they been friends the longest and are on the same wavelength, i can't enjoy the Ross streams because Ross and his squad are all your archetypal annoying trend chasing twitter weebs, not my thing but i didn't expect Vinny to get along so well with them, more power to him if he wants to make more friends but i ain't watching that shit

Maybe Vinny will eventually become a twitter weeb himself, talking about his favorite waifu on stream and announcing his pronouns to people he just met. You never know.

Vinny is just about the only person I know who thinks Volcana is harder than Jungle in Spelunky 2.
But it is! well not quite, Volcana seems barren and featureless compared to the jungle that has a shitton of mechanics crammed in every level, but once you make muscle memory of how the traps look like you can get trough the jungle easy, get spike/jump boots and its even easier, shamans get you cursed and traps can insta-kill you but you can scout for them and are pretty avoidable if you are careful, on top of that the reward for getting trough the jungle is the black market.
Compare this to Volcana that only had lava, but it has it EVERYWHERE, not just that but lavamen can just jump from 3 floors above you and shove you into a lava pool without letting you react to it and instakill you, not to mention that to get to Vlad the drill needed for it will almost always go trough lava killing you instantly or a shopkeeper and shitting up the run for something that wasn't your fault, and the reward is vlad cape, which is not bad by any means but it doesn't compare to the sheer benefit of the black market and can be outclassed by the jetpack.
Volcana has less shit to worry about, but the shit it has its all insta-death and the vlad cape doesn't compare to the blackmarket, which is why most high skilled players don't even bother going to Volcana

I can reliably get through jungle every time without issues because the traps are generally fair and easy to avoid once you get the eyes for it. The mobs there are easy to take out minus the maneater which can be avoided without problems. If you're good at clearing all of the gold out of the levels then the powerspike offered by the Black Market is fucking massive and most of the time I can buy all of the good stuff out of it.

When I play Volcana a huge amount of the time I get gay'd by some falling lava or put into a circumstance where I cannot progress because an explosive mob fell into a lava pit and ruined the path ahead. You can't reliably use Vlad's drill because sometimes the shopkeeper or the alter spawn under it, and the vast majority of the time after I drill I need to wait multiple minutes for the lava to settle or else I will be instantly killed by it. Taking any kind of backpack item in there increases your chance of dying by a huge amount and mobility sucks because some of the platforms fall and the ropes can't be put over lava pits. It's not fun and not very well designed.

I'd say discord in general is just a giant eternal high school that's mostly filled with the outcasts and misfits. There's nothing quite like putting your life into perspective when watching a 27 year old manchild argue in multiple long winded paragraphs about why the Last Jedi should have won an oscar while also in another channel at the exact same time ponder why he has gotten no where in life.
Maybe you hang out at on all the weirdo Discord servers.

I read earlier in the thread that someone found one of Vinny's old public TV things that showed his full name, anyone still have that?
Any particular reason you're asking?

I'm sure if you dig through old /v/ threads on Vinesauce you'll come across it eventually. There was a lot of personal information on here at one point, but it was removed. Don't want to have any autistic fans or obsessed furries paying the Vine man a visit.

His full name is Vincent Palmieri.

You won't find anything attached to that name on the web though. Pretty sure Vinny made sure to get everything taken down.

Interestingly, googling "Vincent Palmieri Staten Island" yields a story of the mysterious murder of some Vincent Palmieri Sr in 1972 at the age of 35/36. His body wouldn't be identified until 2006/2007 and furthermore wouldn't be reunited with his family until 2017. The case remains unsolved.

Based on clues, he appears to be Vinny's late grandfather, damn.

All I have to say is:

Holy shit.

Surprised Vinny hasn't played Astro's Playroom yet considering it's pretty short. Tried it myself for the first time today and loved it.
