Don't want to be rude, but people can lie. That's the matter even with our Vin.
His behaviour fits the claim, and I don't think Vin has anything to gain from lying about something that does nothing but make him vulnerable. He is basically the opposite to an attention seeker, so he wouldn't lie about some psychiatric labels for the sake of pity points. I give him the benefit of the doubt.

Honestly, i think that you're overreacting to the whole drama thing. Calzone man feels down and needs some time to slack off, and you're already going "Depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts" apeshit. Hell, some people made an assumption that "creeperinos" thing is legitimate, and vin's doing it just as awkward way of flirting.

Some of you definetly need to go out and get some capussi for yourselves. If that didn't lead to our italian man's commiting pineapple pizza, then you could legit say that "Can't MOSSAD the BINYASSAD".
totally agree. you're a total autist in my eyes if you equate one bad event in someone's life to them instantly thinking about harming themselves. Yes, Vin's a bit of a downer based on his general attitude, but I seriously doubt he's THAT bad. All he needs is a pepperoni pizza and some gabagool, and the pasta man is back in business again.

Honestly if vin decides not to return to streaming or to do it very infrequently, this might be a good time for me to just drop Vinesauce. The recent streams haven't done it for me for whatever reason, and there'll never be a return to the vinesauce.com/Chatango days I still look back fondly of where getting 1,000 watchers was big numbers. Whatever happens, I hope vin finds some peace of mind.

Is anyone able to successfully download a PDF of the greeting card from the website? Has it already been archived? jw
It took a minute, a whole god damn minute just to load the page, on my 1Gbps fiber connection. The PDF link 504s. The site was not built for a card this big. I can only imagine they've had to discuss this in the standups.

I believe that the best strategy for Vinny going forward (in regards to streaming) is to only stream when he feels like it. I am pretty sure that he always did it that way, but to some extent it also seemed like he unintentionally streamed out of habit.

Taking an extra step to evaluate: "Am I comfortable to stream tonight, am I going to be tired after this?" would be of great benefit to his health.
I also believe that he should refrain, if not, completely stop streaming until late at night. I refuse to believe he had a stable and healthy sleeping schedule by going till 3-4AM.

I believe the only scheduled streams should be stuff like Sunday trash. Just cause there's the most expectation surrounding it and the most amount of viewers, so it would make sense to keep it as is.

I know I'm an huge asshole for saying this but I kind of hoped this controversy would cull more of the community, I have seen some particularly annoying individuals jump ship but it really hasn't taken a hit otherwise. I still enjoy(d) the streams and can embrace them for what they are these days but we could do without the creepy artists and thirsty women shitting up the place.

Also wanted to share this old stream since it was played during the last Sunday Rewatch, it's super chill and made me think about how we don't really get weird off the cuff stuff like this anymore.

Speaking of, this also raises a point of whether Vin would feel comfortable going to conventions in the near future, or at least limiting his presence there to going one day or something. I wonder how accommodating the Screenwave crew would be for him during Too Many Games/PAX East + the Screenwave after party if they’re aware of 8BitBrody’s alleged involvement in all of this. Of course this is all hypothetically speaking, but it does make me curious about what will be the new norm for Vin going forward during these conventions, and for the fans that want to meet him and have him sign capussi on their Red Vox vinyls.

big doubt conventions will be a thing anymore imo, and honestly I didn't think he'd be as comfortable with appearances since covid hit last year. Guess now I especially wouldn't blame him if he'd rather not deal with a mass of fans (from all degrees of 'tard) in person. Sucks, but cons are draining as is.

If Vin (or any of us really after COVID) go back to cons, it's going to be as a panel guest and maybe signing table with his publicist in range. You won't see him on the floors or at the venues. He'll be at his hotel or somewhere in Philly eating a cheesesteak. The second someone throws out a creeperino, he'll be whisked into the backrooms (and not the copypasta kind) to never return.

I think something to keep in mind is this: while I don't doubt that Vinny is a financially sound and smart man (something that's paying dividends right now as he takes his hiatus), I don't think he's quite well off to be able to retire in his mid 30s. Owning his property helps, but New York is fucking expensive. He will likely need a job at some point, and he doesn't seem like the type to return to 9 to 5 work. Not to mention arguably the most important factor: his streaming schedule has allowed him to devote his daytime hours to arguably his biggest passion, his music. Unless he tries to pursue another unconventional field (I know editing and voice work have been thrown around on here before), his studio time will take a hit, and I doubt that's something he'll let happen.

I don't even think going the Youtube route is an option. To do that successfully now days, you need to have a Patreon and/or make partnership/advertiser deals. I highly doubt there will come a day where Vinny tries to sell us on Raid: Shadow Legends considering his stance on paid promotions in the past.

At the end of the day, I think Vinny is genuinely unsure about the future right now, hence the comment of "Streaming does not spark joy right now" , which is a very big difference from anymore. And considering it's been less than a month since all this happened, you can't really blame him for feeling that way. My money is on him eventually coming back with a reduced "schedule" where he'll have multiple days off throughout the week to focus on personal stuff and himself. Hopefully it ends up being a win-Vin, where Vinny gets the balance he needs and we still get our funny steamer man back. But if he genuinely wants to walk away from it all, I think he'll make it clear so that everyone has closure. We're not there yet.

PS: A wishlist of what I hope he uploads in the foreseeable future:

Bean PC: He finally has the time to do it. Could use it to promote the next Charity Stream.
Mario Party Switch with Friends (assuming the new update is actually good)
E3 Stuff, especially Nintendo
RE8
The end of Cyberpunk's main story (we need closure with Shrimp Lady)
Pacman 99 One-off

Jerma's gone on multiple extended breaks, and each time he comes back with more subs and viewers than ever. Vinny and him put out similar content and definitely have an overlap in audience. Although Vinny doesn't do crazy performance shit like carnivals and smashing geodes in the desert, he does have the annual charity stream along with shovelware and corruptions, which also bring in a lot of new viewers and subs. He'll be fine even if he has to take an extended break.

All I know video game streaming is not a viable career unless you get real lucky that you get enough money to move on. Video games are things that people play for enjoyment outside of work and life. If you make constant video game streaming as your only source of income that is going to mess with you and the best example of it is Wings of Redemption.

Variety fanbases are very loyal because they're there for the streamer. However and whenever Vinny comes back, his audience will still be there.

On the subject of parasocial relationships, I know it's a pretentious walking sim, but man, The Beginner's Guide did teach me an important lesson: you can't know a person through the things they create, and it's fucked up to read feelings into them. The more we do it, the more we risk poisoning their creativity and alienating them for good. Maybe what's best is that we all wish Vinny well, stop speculating about how he's feeling, and leave him alone.

I'm glad he's taking time to sort stuff out. Streaming like that constantly can take a toll on someone and lead to major burnout eventually. I wish him the best and he can take all the time he needs whenever he's ready.
I only hope that, for the love of God, people stop drawing creepy art of Vinny on the buroo. He hates it, most of his sane viewers find it uncomfortable and it's just all around fucking weird.
Last time I checked the booru, it was pretty tame. It was mostly Joel fanart being uploaded at time or just general "get well soon" art for Vinny. So I'm guessing it's still going to be actively moderated for the time being. Someone mentioned getting rid of the booru which wouldn't make any sense to just remove a decade's worth of stuff because of some dumb drama.

It'd make even less sense, because it's not Vinny's booru, it's Vinesauce. Both Joel and Rev use it, I assume Limes and Ima do as well, though I haven't watched their stuff really. Not sure who else does. Mike, maybe? Or does he do art from twitter or something, if he even does art?

I often wonder about Vinny's chat size increasing like Jerma's if and should he ever return back to Twitch.

The other day I saw TommyInit had 343K people in his chat. How the fuck does that even WORK. I don't do Minecraft streamers but I am morbidly curious what a chat like that even looks like with so many people...

Cause he's on front page, plays Minecraft and interacts with fans more? Vinny despite being very popular is niche and streams when most young teens and children are in bed.

The most Vinny has ever gotten in chat was 23K during E3.

The worst thing about Vinesauce chat is the fucking BTTV spam.

The answer is it ceases to be chat and becomes a wave of general emotions. You can't discuss anything properly and the odds of you being noticed by the streamer is almost none. If you look at big streamers, one of the funniest things to see is what happens when a streamer reacts to a clip or a video. The entire chat will start out saying the clip is retarded or is bad, but if the streamer says it's good everyone loves it. Complete hivemind shit.
