Chikan random people in the streets and subways. But seriously, from what I hear, Tashirojima (aka "Cat Island") is a cat lover's paradise.

Thanks for the recommendations folks, I've got one of the JR rail passes so I'll try and tick off as much as possible and report back.
Everybody that wants a souvenir, dox yourself to me for one and a pizza roll.

I hope they'll built an AggRetsuko-themed train with Death Metal Karaoke Boxes.I'm kind of jealous. Japanese trains are pretty cool. Like the Hello Kitty train that's debuting in June.

It's from the 1930s, and the road they want to build through the side of it was planned for decades. The Olympics is always an excuse for cities and countries to push infrastructure backlogs. The market is being moved to less valuable real estate on landfilled island further in Tokyo Bay, which is more convenient for ships. UNESCO declared Japan's fish diet which the market represents as cultural heritage.I heard on NPR that the really famous fish market in Tokyo (it's centuries old and a UNESCO world heritage site or something) is getting permanently shut down within a few years because it is a traffic obstacle to the 2020 Olympics infrastructure buildup.
Bleh, skip Sensō-ji unless you want to be like all the other obnoxious tourists. If you're going to Kyoto, it's not worth it because you will likely see some authentic Buddhist temples. Also, Ueno Park and vicinity has some Edo period shrines and temples, is the main cluster of Tokyo's museums, and closer to most attractions.(Really though, go to Asakusa and go to Senso-ji, the big shrine there, aside for ghostyen-begging for me, it's really pretty and you won't regret it.)

Fucking THIS!
You should try and sample as many flavours of Kit-Kat as possible because I hear they have some insane ones over there.
