I'm reading Subahibi and all I want is for Takashima Zakuro to be happy.

Also I'm 99% certain that Mamiya, Yuki, and Yuuki are one and the same and Kagami represents the doll. I'm less certain that Tsukasa is Mamiya's sister but I feel like it adds up.

I stopped reading after through the looking glass insect chapter. The VN is emotionally draining.

That chapter was the hardest thing to get through in the novel. I finished it yesterday and read like 40 chapters of Yotsuba because of how much of a downer that chapter was. The one after that is shaping up to be way less draining.

I'm almost done with Fate/hollow and I feel so bad for Bazett. I'm thinking on reading Higurashi or maybe steins gate next I don't know yet. What I really want to read is the Tsukihime Remake but they only just started the fan translation so that off the table for now.
Fuck you and fuck that hacky retarded troon, but above all, fuck that game in particular. What a pretentious fucking waste of time.
>A full length visual novel about the erosion of privacy, gay drama, young sexuality, and the perils of modern online life for a high school literature class.
I don't know man it sounds like you might be able to get a good laugh out of it. It has all the marking for something that could be easily mocked.

I’ve played it years ago and, while the details are fuzzy, I remember enough to know that it isn’t funny or entertaining, it’s preachy and Reddit-tier obnoxious. First and last of that 41%ers games I will ever play.

I thought it was hilarious. My favorite part was when a straight male character basically dumps his girlfriend and shacks up with this other guy because even though he isn't gay "He's just so how you know?" meanwhile the ex girlfriend, who is a total bitch, then has it out for his new bf. Basically every fag's fantasy.
Another funny part is you, the teacher in this story, buying alcohol for some underage lesbians in your class.
And the best part is that the whole game basically tells you "Yeah nobody has privacy anymore but lol who cares" especially at the ending.
This game is just leftie fetishes and talking points regurgitated onto Ren'py and I think it's funny.

About two years ago I played Dies Irae and did the route with the obvious heroine, which ends up being a wrong move since, of the 3 other routes, two of them are more slow build up about the plot while the obvious heroine is very much the real end. Anyways, after seeing some people talking on the fourth route and remembering reading it supposedly has pretty sick moments I rebooted the game and played that route. And well, while I wouldn't say DI is a bad VN, it is like a crystalization of Light Novels and their shitty tropes.
Like characters have multiple names that are vague references to mythology, making keeping up with who's who a nightmare, characters gain abilities as the plot demands, villains are literally invulnurble because their power level is too high, but the worse part is that it's verbose as shit. By the end of the route I just fast forwarded entire scenes because they had people saying the same thing multiple times in a scene.

Anyways next up Subahibi. Wish me luck.

Months ago I read something called Fox Hime Zero

Gotta be honest, wasn't too into it. Yea the ending is a tear jerker, but the protagonist was annoying the fuck out of me because he comes off as TOO logical... like almost "Sheldon from Big Bang Theory" levels.

TL;DR: Student goes into the woods, meets fox spirit, goes "THIS MAKES NO SENSE" for like 2462387462 times, eventually he ATTEMPTS to connect with her, but she dissapears because her mom is a bitch that got burned before by of all things the student's teacher/researcher (I might be remembering that part wrong) so she doesn't trust humans anymore, student goes up to fox mom and is like "don't do this" and fox mom is like "ok" and then student and fox spirit lives happily ever after, i think?

is it too late to nominate goty?

Jesus christ Wonderful Everyday goes from first gear to fucking sixth fast. I first played it a month ago and thought it was an eroge. Now I'm just going to play until it reaches 20, it's been a long time since I felt so much tension.
One of the best thing in VNs is how bad things can get. It's not the usual game or series where you actually have a limit on what they can show and how far they usually go.

As I mentioned earlier, Subahibi really does go far to show just how fucked things can be, especially in the 2nd and 3rd chapters. Also Mamiya Takuji is based as shit.

I finished it about a week ago and I'm slowly starting to appreciate End Sky II as an ending. I really like how abrupt it all is. It fits with how much of a mindfuck the VN was up until that point.

ALSO FUCKING KATAWA SHOUJO TURNED 10 YESTERDAY AND NOBODY SAID ANYTHING. IM DISSAPOINTED IN YOU ALL (INCLUDING MYSELF).

How in the fuck did this thread go 17 pages and 7 years without a single fucking mention of the pure chad VN that is Zanmataisei Demonbane? It has to be a case of no-one actually played it because the entire premise is so outlandish that there's no way anyone who hasn't even read the first part of the first chapter wouldn't have it lodged in the back of their memory somewhere.

It also has an absolutely stellar OST;

It's a damn shame that the anime was complete garbage.

I just hope it doesn't go into insane level of bullying, it's a pretty retarded trope in Japanese media, and I enjoy the idea of cults and unreality far more. Anyways started the first part with the male protag, let's see how bad it gets.

I played Demonsbane and it was awesome. Like Dies Irae only finished the first route and didn't go through the other routes because it didn't look too different.
