I do think Barnes does provide some good legal takes, but with his abortion fiasco and lying about the purpose of getting the video which isn't to see Nick's kids but to see his apartment has really turned me off of him.
Edit: Holy shit, I can't believe I forgot him implying Legal Mindset went to Thailand for illegal shit when he's been in Korea for years before he moved there. For someone you're going to do some research on, it would do well to get your timeline in order before you start implying shit.

Should we really be letting the alcoholics, drug addicts and mentally ill be regulating themselves? If anything, Greenberg’s article makes a strong argument in favour of not letting lawyers police themselves.

Never really watched Lawtube, but I got introduced to Barnes through his many guest appearances on The Duran (Might be deserving of their own thread one day, but to make a long story short, two fat greek guys that are actual unironic Kremlin shills) and he somehow managed to outdo the hosts in a contest for who can be the most hyperbolic and retarded about contemporary American politics (which is saying something, neither of those guys even live in America).

I'd have to go back and watch some streams from a year ago, but if I remember correctly he kept implying Trump and his team were in talks with him to continue to litigate the election fraud stuff lmao. Not to say Trump wouldn't be retarded enough to not, but I highly doubt even his team would be reaching out to some fringe internet loser for legal advice.

I also find it really funny Kino Casino thought his Duran merch was a Zelda hat the other night.

No (and I literally could not find a single case that affirmed what Barnes has said from Minnesota Supreme Court), but want to hear really interesting recent Minnesota Supreme Court decisions that are relevant to Nick?

State v. Molnau, 904 N.W.2d 449 (Minn. 2017) - upholding defendant's conviction for possession of a controlled substance where police searched defendant's unattended purse during the execution of a search warrant.

State v. Lindquist, 869 N.W.2d 863 (Minn. 2015) (describing an earlier case) - "we concluded that a search warrant for a package [containing controlled substances] was supported by probable cause despite the fact that the affidavit in support of the warrant contained a material misstatement of fact told by a mail clerk to a police officer. We relied on the fact that “the officer procured a warrant from a judicial officer before searching the package” in determining that there was probable case."

State v. Lorenz, 368 N.W.2d 284 (Minn. 1985) - holding that cocaine discovered in defendant's dresser in his bedroom in apartment he shared with another was sufficient to establish defendant's constructive possession of cocaine

I wouldn't be surprised if there is such a case. "Being a drug user" is not probable cause, nor is it a crime itself. Now, a substantial likelihood of finding actual contraband? Definitely.

This is why I think the cokestream locked it down, because it was clear Nick was not only under the influence, but actually in the physical possession of cocaine, which he was.

That said I'm not going to go on a snipe hunt. After all, this is supposedly one of Barnes's favorite cases and he says there are lots of them. So name one you fat Boss Baby looking motherfucker.

Agree. I have largely been a fan of Barnes, but he did some real damage this past week.

Barnes turning heel on the Farms is so disappointing. He defended the forum from Fatrick. At the time it seemed he did so out of an abundance of fellow traveler against the government and censorious retards. You can defend Balldo Man without throwing your former client under the bus Barnes.

Probable cause was created by the reports from the pastor, public claims from Aaron, and Nick snorting coke off camera and coming back on. Not that Rekieta might have done some drugs at some point. From the point of view of the affidavit, he did drugs yesterday, all but on camera with it literally in his mustache, and they already have an open report for child neglect.

Barnes claims to be an ace attorney, sage political commentator, brilliant sports better, incredibly successful election gambler, well read historian, and geopolitical analyst.
For those thinking that he was pretty cool before this, I ask, does that sound like a real person or someone selling a crock of shit?
