LOL what a fucking ambulance chaser.

Viva needs to really stop with his act of being completely out of the loop/trying to be the layman looking for understanding.
Viva comes off like a hippie practicing law trying to get everyone to sit around the drum circle.

This is your periodic reminder that Barnes's actual speciality is tax law. Specifically cases like Wesley Snipes, where an individual is interpreting tax laws very creatively to not pay taxes. Outside of tax law, he likes to wax poetic about the constitution, gun law, and conspiracy theories (the man has never met one he doesn't like), but his predictions on this front don't really pan out. His batting average is not great. He also thinks he is an expert on sports betting.

Viva seems to be only one notch above Nick Rekieta in legal experience, all of which was acquired in communist Canada, but he is a decent host.
I'm sure a tax lawyer knows what he's talking about here, just like estate lawyers are the best for litigating internet defamation cases.

I seem to recall that Viva used to work in some line that wasn't anywhere near as confrontational as what Barnes does for a living but fuck if I can recall off the cuff what it was.

Had no idea there was a Viva & Barnes thread.

AFAIK, Viva briefly practised commercial lease law in Quebec. Quebec also uniquely follows France's civil law tradition instead of British common law, meaning most of his schooling and experience has no applicability to US or Canadian law at large.

Like Rekieta, David gave up the practise of law very early into his streaming career because he hated it. I believe numerous other siblings are lawyers themselves. Freiheit is also an ethnic Jew with roots back to Poland and the Ukraine. David's brother Daniel Freiheit (Lion Advocacy on Twitter) is a based Toronto lawyer who continues to do great advocacy work online calling out ongoing COVID BS on the books in Canada.

Viva's wife (Marion?) was a PhD candidate at ?McGill studying neuroopthalmology in Montreal before they absconded to Florida.

During the trucker convoy protest in Ottawa in Feb 2022, many of the chain restaurants and other businesses in the downtown core remained shuttered either because of lingering lockdown rules or because their owners were faggots that sided with Trudeau

One small restaurant called the Iconic Café remained open, serving the protesters food & drink, letting them warm up, use the washroom, didn't enforce vax passes or masks, etc.

It was run by a very devout and somewhat loony Christian man Enrico from ?the Middle East Switzerland.

Three weeks into the protest, Trudeau declared martial law. Thousands of unmarked riot police tried to clear the truckers over Fri & Sat of that weekend.

The actual martial law Emergencies Act declaration stated that it was only impermissible to protest or occupy the Parliament Hill grounds, ie the federal property and not any of the blocks and blocks of municipal property that make up the rest of the downtown.

The militarized Ottawa Police didn't pay any heed to the specifications in the Act. They made roadblocks at all highway exits entering the core. They also set up armed checkpoints on every arterial and residential road accessing the downtown, checking IDs, demanding to know the reason for entry & denying anyone who didn't directly live or work within the core.

By Sunday morning, the riot police had already been beating the truckers and sweeping their trucks for two days. The protest was mostly over and the police had erected fences sealing off Parliament Hill.

The owner of the Iconic Café opened his business just like any other morning, several blocks from the protest. A few customers came for coffee & breakfast. He & his family running the restaurant subsequently witnessed cops seemingly harass, assault & arrest random citizens simply walking in the downtown core, demanding to see "papers". Anyone not directly living downtown was told that they weren't welcome there and had to leave immediately under threat of arrest , including Canadians staying in downtown hotels.

The owner became frightened by what he saw, locking the door to his business. His few customers were happy to seek refuge. The police, subsequently noticing his business "Open" sign on and patrons inside, tried to gain entry through the locked door.

Stymied, the police went full Stasi, demanding the locked door be opened, demanding the Open sign be turned off, threatening arrest, banging against the glass with a truncheon & threatening to break the door down.

The café owner kept the door locked, turned off the lights, allowed patrons to exit through a back door. Eventually the cops lost interest.

A short time after the end of the protest, his landlord locked him out of his business one day and wouldn't let him remove his equipment. He was evicted with very short notice, being told that a new tenant was moving in within days.

It seems that two years on&off again lockdowns had got him into debt into the five figures on back rent. I believe that the café owner & the landlord had a remedial plan in place, which was suddenly revoked without warning & believed to be politically motivated.

Viva interviewed the café owner during his predicament and mentioned that he particularly practised commercial lease law in Quebec.

IIRC, Viva couldn't really help the guy, the landlord was within their right with the significant backrent and the guy lost his business.

A bit late, but Viva does have tendency to say stupid shit. He's not as smart or well read as he likes to present himself and it shows. Like at the beginning of ruskies war he tried to assert himself as an Ukraininan Jew? To make his points more valid, I guess?

Deleted comment was pointing that it was Lwów, Poland, not Lviv, Ukraine, because the signs are in Polish and the first thing the ukies did after taking over the city was to destroy every bit of polishness that was still left.

I liked his vids and commentary at the very beginning, but then he met with Barnes and he has this weird dynamics with, like he laps everything Barnes says and he's the naive peasant debutant learning about the world.

Viva has no roots in Ukraine, because spoiler alert- there was no Ukraine back then. He tried to claim he has some at the beginning of the war to up his opinion to relevant level, but like every amerimutt implant, he doed not know his history and has been racked over the coals for not even realising that Lviv was 85% Polish city until after II world war when majority of Polish were moved to western Poland. Up till today Polishness is a sore and point of conflict with Ukrainians who try from the beginning to completely depolonise those land and people. Freitheit or whatever is clearly German in origin and points to classic European Jew story. And even if his family lived there, they were never considered "Polish" or "Rus", because they were separate class as "Jews".

for those interested - if he said he was Ruthenian, that would be ok. Ukraine is novel concept and was previously known as Rus (Ruthenia) and yes, Russians derive their name from Rus. "Ukraine" literally means borderland/cut off land and was called that- because it was bordreland. I'm guessing they chose name Ukraine for new country, because Red Rus sounds too much like Russia in Slavic languages and people often mix those. Like Ruskies are from Rus, not Russia, but who cares about nuances when he wants to get internet points, right, Viva?

And no, Viva, just because for a moment in time it was in hands of Russians it suddenly makes it not-ethnicaly 85% Polish city.

So yeah, he's at this moment just regular grifter who eats crows more often than he's willing to admit. He used to have ideals and I liked him for that, which culminated in him going to canadian protests and then fucking off in the most hush way to Florida, because (paraphrasing) "government tires to take over control from parents over raising kids" - bill.

His duet with Barnes was interesting at the begining, when Viva really didn't know how US law really works and was the layman, but at this point I think his 'I'm so naivé' act is getting boring.

Oh, and Rekieta, hire Barnes. He will totally not derail the trial like he tried with Ritenhouse and will absolutely not sperg about muh constitution. He will also not lose the case, again, Nick.

Honestly I think he plays stupid and indulges in the idiot conspiracy theories because half his audience are q-tard boomers that believe all that shit.
Viva is honestly on a pretty similar grift trajectory as Nick (although I don't suspect he will ever neglect his kids). He was great to watch back when he was doing his original "vlawgs". But JUST like Nick, he pivoted.

What we're ultimately seeing is the struggle of explaining law to a normie. It takes TONS of work and research for ONE case to try and find the applicable codes and any defenses. For Nick, it was easier to forego the legal aspect altogether and become a degenerate. For Viva, he's attached himself to someone who has decades of experience and no life to do all of the legal legwork for him, and he gets to play the part of the layman asking questions. The only problem is that the lawyers who have no life outside of law are so ideologically driven, they can't help but push their own narrative rather than just lay out the facts as they are.

Not sure if these fags are doing this on Nick's behalf or in the hopes of getting that exclusive Rekietamine interview but they are scumbags regardless.

I'm just a layman, but it seems like the cops had enough evidence to get a warrant. I mean, coming back from a bathroom break with white powder under your nose is a little dodgy. No?
Cops had certified personnel review footage and witness statements and found probable cause that rackets was using.

I essentially stopped watching Viva after his move to Florida because I didn't like the surreptitiousness around him leaving the country.

Freiheit ran for federal office in September 2021 in his Montreal riding. His riding was a Trudeau Liberal stronghold held by Marc Garneau, a famous astronaut in safe riding routinely winning 50-55%+ of the vote.

David got caught up in the anti-COVID hype, honestly thinking that he might win the seat and thinking his adopted party, the very right/libertarian leaning People's Party of Canada would "win about a dozen seats". Viva admitted to freaking out close to the election because winning his riding would mean the end of his YT career.

His party won zero seats & got 5% of the popular vote nationally. Frei himself only managed 3% despite his popularity & platform.

Frei would go on to cover the trucker convoy on the ground in Jan-Feb 2022. He would drive several hours from Montreal to Ottawa, interviewing protesters and receiving thousands in Superchats. He would always have to leave early though (similar to Rekieta) because he'd have to drive back to Montreal everyday to pick up his kids before school let out.

Viva did make a sizeable donation to the truckers GiveSendGo fund, which was later leaked by the government glowie troon who hacked the donor list. Of course, his donation was eventually refunded to him with all Trudeau's freezing bank account shenanigans and court-mandated escrows.

Frei continued to cover and profit from anti-COVID & Trudeau tyranny content from Feb to July 2022.

At some point, Frei stopped broadcasting from his basement in Montreal, instead streaming regularly from his MIL's craft shed at his in-laws somewhere at a cottage in Quebec. It was implied that he sold his house.

A sizeable protest was planned in the capital of Ottawa on July 1st, corresponding with the founders' holiday.

When the day came, everyone in the trucker/Canadian anti-Trudeau movement was confused why he was not in Ottawa covering the reunion.

It turns out that he did a few streams from his car with a tow trailer around the same time but wouldn't explicitly admit where he was or where he was going.

Shortly thereafter when he was safely across the border, he announced that he had moved his whole family to Florida to continue his Rumble streaming career on a 3 year visa.

What rubbed me the wrong way was how he obviously started the US visa process before or shortly after covering the trucker protest but didn't tell anyone. So he grifted donations from his audience for a long time pretending he was interested in COVID tyranny stuff on the ground. But in fact used that same revenue collected from a lot of people he pretended to support to quietly escape, leaving everyone else behind.

TL;DR - Viva ran against Trudeau in fall 2021 & got BTFO, losing 50%+ to 3%.

Then he personally profited off of covering the trucker protest and related issues for 4 months+, using those same monies to fuck off without telling anyone.

Small correction here: Quebec does use Civil Law for it's private law, but criminal law is under the jurisdiction of the federal government and is based off English Common Law traditions. It is sort of like Louisiana, Puerto Rico and South Africa, which also has some Civil Law and some Common Law because of their histories.

Having said that, I'm not sure how the legal education in Quebec works and how much training in common law lawyers working in civil law would get (or vise versa).
