I consider this double edged sword. On the one hand, it allows for unknowns, or actors from other countries, like Canada or the UK, to receive more acting gigs (assuming they don't get convinced to strike too, that is). On the other... for all we know, it may
not just be limited to video games- Many of these actors overlap with the anime, cartoon and film ADR sections of voice acting. So those too may just as well be affected.
I get it, Voice acting is hard work (believe me, the script reads I do over Skype are taxing, more so when multiple roles are in play and many are gruff voices). But at the same time, if this
does seep over to the other industries in voice work, or other countries decide to join in. Then I'll show little to no sympathy for anyone striking or supporting the strike (VA and non-VA alike).
