I don't know he counts as a voice actor, or just actor. But the wife of Charles fleischer (Roger rabbit) has been posting on tiktok with her husband. Their age gap is 75 and 32. And they've been a couple on tiktok since 9/29/2023

Edit: So originally @White Girl had brought this up in 2024, she's obsessed with roger rabbit, enough to the point that she had contacted Charles, they then started dating, got married, and "play patty cake in bed" (and sometimes he does the roger rabbit voice in bed). This feels like a thing where she's the one in charge in the relationship (being that shes with a geriatric actor who's only popular for being in a quasi live-action animated movie made almost 40 years ago.)

Second, just don't be a self-righteous, belligerent idiot, really. I know I'm not speaking for everyone here, but personally, I really don't care if Yuri Lowenthal or Kate Higgins or whoever else are politically left and open about it. By all means, hold whatever political opinions you want, just don't be aggressively stupid and self-righteous about them, like Steve Blum.

I think the most common failure point here is when VAs use social media as a platform to throw giant, pissy tantrums about how much they despise the "correct" people. I've never watched Dragon Maid, and I don't have the slightest idea what Jamie Marchi's voice actually sounds like (and I probably misspelled her name), but I'm going to aggressively avoid ever hearing anything she plays a role in because of what an obnoxious, self-righteous, spiteful pedant she is on twitter.

The current crop of "modern" VAs are really bad about this.

Imagine having an extremely rare opportunity to voice a character with insane amounts of lines, practically having a table source of income in such an industry, and pissing it all away because you wanted to bully some guy who didn't even know the strike was happening?

As I've said before, I have immense respect for Keith Silverstein and Amber Lee Connors (Furina's voice, also did Toy Chica in FNAF) because they are actually professional and in the latter's case know when to stay silent despite having liberal beliefs. Not to glaze Jim Cummings fuck it i am he's the shit but his IG kinda reminds me of the Japanese VA pages. Advertises his new project involvements, gives wishes on most mainstream holidays, podcasts with other VAs, posts about family events, ect.

Seconding this. Like others have said in this thread, no one really cares if a voice actor is openly liberal or conservative. What matters is that you don't sperg out in the process.
When I follow a celebrity, I want to read about what projects they're in, advice they have for aspiring actors, seeing fan interactions that don't end in shit flinging.
She's maligned now, but back when Genshin first came out, a lot of people liked Corina Boettger as Paimon. Every year after the game's launch, she'd say or do something monumentally stupid that'd turn more and more people away from her.
A lot of it boils down to don't be fucking stupid. Fans follow you because they like the characters you voice, they like your performance. They don't follow you to look at your 568th "Trump bad" post.
