This is also the case with almost every other celeb. They rot their brains with bias and manipulation from social networking sites and the rest of the left-wing news outlets
Plus being woke is profitable. Gimme rainbows but I like to be optimistic and believe that not every single one of them actually believes all the bullshit that comes from their retarded feed.

It's just that the current zeitgeist makes it career suicide to even remotely be slightly "off-kilter"
So they gotta double down for that sweet clout.

Even if most normal people don't wanna look at them sperging out about fucking Trump and tranny cock rights.

*sigh*

Disappointing.

Yeah, reading through this thread plus Tara's has made it very clear that these people are brainrotted morons. Still stings a bit alongside Phil LaMarr apparently pushing the stupid narrative that only "people of color should voice character of color" which is rich coming from him when one of his most famous roles is an Asian and I know him from voicing a white Romanian.
Liam O'Brien
WELP, that one actually hurts. I really like O'Brien's voice work. PL maybe but I am a huge fan of the DrakenNier games and I attribute one of many parts in my enjoyment of the original Nier to O'Brien as Grimoire Weiss.

Goddamn, now I'm scared the check the social media of Ray Chase, Travis Willingham, Kira Buckland, Alexis Tipton, Scott McNeil, James Arnold Taylor and Debi Derryberry.

Not to mention Clancy Brown.

Debi is in her mid-50s so I like to think she's smart enough to not act like a sped on the internet. But Steve Blum just turned 64 and he's trying his best to speedrun his way into the "cool and woke with the kids" club. That one hurt too btw.

(:_(

Scott McNeil I don't think is on the same level as Chris Sabat in terms of being a political sperg. Haven't heard of him going on tirads or blocking sprees and shit like what Brian Drummond ended up doing. Still, rule of thumb should always be to avoid your favs' social media at all costs.

Brian Drummond
WELP...Not even shocked anymore. Disappointed but not because "muh personal hero" but rather because I'd hoped that these people would be professional and not have chimpouts on their business accounts and slap fights like losers on the internet but that's a rare thing nowadays.

Like they have to know that their work guarantees that they got fans on all sides of the political brain rot pool so acting like this will only alienate a portion of their audience - even the apolitical ones.

God bless Rob Paulson. And glad to hear that McNeil isn't a sped either.

Which now makes me wonder about Nolan North, Robin Atkin Downes, and Toy Baker. Three names so universal and big, but also deeply ingrained into the VA circlejerk that they no doubt got a few spergouts under their belt.

Edit: Or more so Baker and North.

They have. Also, other VAs Phil LaMarr, Rachael MacFarlane, Erica Lindbeck, Erica Mendez, Phil LaMarr, David Hayter, etc. should be added as well as they also happen to use social networking to do their political sperging
William Salyers, Candi Milo(what a cunt), Tabitha St. Germain(though she deleted her twitter in 2022) Yuri Lowenthal, Eric Vale, Leah Clark(though she stopped around early 2022), Patrick Seitz, Sam Riegel, Maile Flanagan, Michelle Ruff(though not anymore), Cassandra Lee Morris(LGBT worshipper), Justin Briner, Todd Haberkorn, Jessica DiCicco, Emily Neves, Michele Knotz, H. Jon Benjamin(not a shocker) and Steve Staley were talking as well.

Even Erika Harlacher was surprisingly political before Trump got forced out of office.

Todd Haberkorn might've gotten redpilled over his crazy stalker, though, unless he's still politisperging to this day.

I did not have Rachel crippled from cancer on my bingo card for 2024, I fucking hate this. (:_(

I'm sorry, I misread it as not being able to speak. But its that she is unable to move.

Any medical kiwis can estimate how she might turn out?

Oh shit, a thread on KF about English dub actors? Well I'll be...
Echoing the sentiment of Twitter being the worst thing to happen to public figures. I like a lot of them, but I 100% don't blame anyone for disliking them.
Being talented doesn't mean you get to be insufferable.
Slight thread tax, never follow Emily Neves on her socials, worst mistake of my life.

Probably gauche to find this out now, but Lillis was all but blacklisted from dubbing after she revealed the swap from 4Kids to TPCI in dubbing Pokemon was a cost-cutting measure.

But weren't the 4kids crew already well aware that they've been cutting cost when dubbing and censoring stuff for the west? I mean, their Americanized kid-friendly version of One Piece was an example, and they personally hated dubbing it

I believe it was in the last years of 4KIDS' life that they started cutting costs to try to recuperate losing Pokémon, probably was also when they started holding back money from Konami. I noticed watching Chronicles, one of the last Pokémon dubs they did before the contract expired, that it sounded super cheap compared to before (on top of the script being absolute dreck, which says something), and I think that was from PUSA stepping in. I know the Mastermind of Mirage Pokémon was their test dub with new VAs, which is why the first version was such complete shit and got redubbed for the DVD release, and they had to find a new voice for Ash since Kayzie Rogers wasn't the right choice (more like the ADR director outright fucked it up).

Rachel wasn't the only one who talked about it, but I guess she was the most proactive and that's why you stopped hearing from her after a while. Although she was the voice of Maylene in D/P, so the blacklisting might've not happened then.

She's the voice of Micott in Gundam Unicorn, so it had to have happened sometime after 2012?
So it would make Princess Charlotte in the Golden Age movies her last truly big voice-acting role, then? That was around that time.

Damn that's awful.

Also god bless Marty Grabstein, the poor guy had a stroke a couple of months back.
