You could put Steve and Mary on an island far away from civilization, and they would STILL bitch about Trump and how they’re in fear of him/his followers coming to attack them.
VAs who aren’t tethered to social media like it’s their lifeline are far and few between.

Liam and Sam are angry trump is daring to not bow to self-victimization CA.

Who would listen to shouting when they see sam's profile pic staring at them?

This might just be me being old but it seemed like in the 80s and 90s voice actors in anime were a lot better, as in they could actually voice believably sounding teens and children. It seems that since Japanese media got really fucking big in the late 90s the voice actors started... not sounding that way. Like for example in Persona 4; Naoto sounds like she's a 40 year old hag who's been chain smoking since age 12.

My minor sperg, take it for what it is. Robotech sounded like it had better voice actors than most anime dubs from the mid 2000s on. This also may be long before, like watching Macross Plus it doesn't sound "right," for lack of a better word.

Voice-actors back then came from diverse places when you think about it, and that's mainly a generational thing. Older VAs were going to have unique voices compared to people our age, not helped that many current newblood VAs (who haven't been shoved out by gatekeepers) practically come from the same urban areas that have long since become homogenized. It's why Jonah Scott sticks out so much, he just has this natural suave voice you really don't hear much of anymore.

Things really were different 20 years ago. Currently am watching the obscure Mystical Ninja Goemon with a friend who's played the games, and it's a 2004 ADV dub, and it just sounds natural. It has a mix of seasoned and newer VAs, and they're just having fun with it. In fact, I swear, if ADV had gotten a network agreement for it, I think a lot of kids would've been exposed to Vic Mignogna at the same time teenagers watching Fullmetal Alchemist did. The man really could've done voicework for children's shows.

Wes Johnson was found unresponsive in his hotel room. He was in Atlanta for an Alzheimers benefit. He is in critical condition at hospital

He's probably best known for multiple Bethesda games including Fallout 3 and 4 and also Oblivion and Skyrim. In addition to his TV work like Homicide Life on the Street.
The guy playing a god that has Schizophrenia has Alzheimers.

Only Sheogorath would think of a sick joke like that.

I remember Melendy and Alan talking about him at a convention. (She Ra and Skelator respectively) Melendy said John had "moved away far from Hollywood" and Alan said he once did try to get John for a convention but John declined citing fear and that people might not warm to him if they saw how he looked. Reminds me of Julie Kavner who has it in her contract she won't do Marge's voice in public. Ever.

I think he was living in a retirement community and was a painter

He sounded like a sweet and gentle man. Rest in Peace

I have to find the dual melendy/alan video but here's one

This is the video that will make the farms cry

And here he is with Sheriff Metzger from Murder She Wrote.
