Boredom, well i asked becuase last year, I found out Jim Cummings is a Republican and was curious if their were others. So really just curiosity.

Edit: James woods and Kelsey Grammer. I guess could cout considering they have done some memorable voice work.
 
A few days ago, Stuart D. Baker got shitcanned off Squidbillies after embracing his own inner redneck cephalopod by calling out Dolly Parton for her support of BLM. There's also this tweet saying that he called her a big-tittied freak and race-traitor but this seems a bit of a stretch without further proof and an attempt at playing telephone to me.

For those reasons, production of Squidbillies will continue without Mr. Baker, effective immediately.”


Baker has voiced the main character Early Cuyler on “Squidbillies” since the show first started in 2005. Over 100 episodes of the series have been produced to date, with the show having been renewed for a thirteenth season last year. It is one of the longest-running shows on Adult Swim alongside “Robot Chicken,” both of which started in 2005.

The show centers on a family of squids living in the mountains of Georgia. It is unclear at this time if the character Early will be written off the show or if they will bring in a new voice actor to play him.

Adult Swim's Squidbillies has fired actor Stuart D. Baker for posting racist and sexual comments on social media. Baker, who performs under the title of Unknown Hinson, has voiced the show's lead character, Early Cuyler, since its inception. Hence, his firing has come as a shock to the series' fans.

Today, Squidbillies announced Baker's firing in a post on Twitter. In the announcement, showrunners Jim Fortier and Dave Willis stated they'd become "aware of the extremely offensive and derogatory" posts made by Baker, and the beliefs expressed by the actor "do not reflect our own personal values or the values of the show." Earlier this week, Baker criticized Dolly Parton for voicing her support for the Black Lives Matter movement. In his Facebook post, the actor flung slurs at the noted country music sensation and accused her of forsaking her "own race, culture, and heritage."

Baker's firing from Squidbillies is effective immediately, but it isn't yet been confirmed if the creators are looking for a new voice to support his original character, or if they're scrapping Cuyler entirely. Given that the Adult Swim animated series has been renewed for season 13, the show can take a fresh spin. The unpleasant alcoholic Early can take off from the Blue Ridge Mountains, and the lens can turn towards the desperate Rusty. In that way, Squidbillies would remain upbeat and free from overworked clichés.

Mongillo is biologically male but is now a xir. His voice no longer sounds particularly masculine but it isn't convincingly feminine enough to voice women. It's as unsettling as his profile picture.

Now here's the thing: Casey is right. The casting director said something extremely stupid proving she's never worked with actual gay people before because they can totally sound "normal", which I can't believe even has to be said. It's in the title of the job description that people are "voice acting", literally anyone who can prove they have that kind of range can play any fitting part, whether they're of that race or sexuality or not--even gender in a few cases.

This stupid #OwnVoices shit does more harm than good. Because if it's so fucking true that a gay actor can't sound non-gay, then Greg Ayres wouldn't have voiced as many hetero males as he has. Even vice-versa, in which case Steve Blum wouldn't have played Leeron.

The thing is you're taking his account as 100% accurate. I doubt the casting director has a problem with the L, G or B. There's apparently gay people in Jojo's dub. It's the T, which Casey is closer to than the others, that's likely the issue. Chowing down on estrogen is going to make an adult man sound weird.

Which is fair, but this was for an audition. No guarantee Casey would've gotten the role at the end of the day, but he still should've been allowed to do it anyway and get turned down more naturally. If he's actually mad he didn't get the role because "transphobia", then he's a real piece of pondscum, but if the casting director was turning him down at the door before he could step in the booth because "You won't be able to sound non-gay", then she's just stupid.

Actually, estrogen does little if anything to change MTF (or nonbinary) voices. That's what voice training is for.
