The only thing I've seen of mata (or mint for that matter) was their podcast together. I enjoyed it. Also I like her design, its unique.

So? Why respond to me? I am one of those people that "just don't get the appeal of said vtuber". I'm not here to debate on why you or the other guy like her or not, I don't care. You can't convince me otherwise. I was just responding to the original question of the thread. As I said I'm not responding to others with "this is why i like her" as if I'm going to change their opinion. Not everyone is going to like every vtuber.

Then this is a bait thread for 'discussing' individual differences of opinion of vtubers. If I knew that I wouldn't have responded. I thought of it more as a poll. Not that I actually cared about random guy's opinion on the vtuber I don't like.

I genuinely don't get Ironmouse.
I can understand empathizing with her, regarding her illness. (although, if I'm recalling right she's claimed it was CVID before despite nothing she's described being CVID? of course, doctors are incompetent retards so perhaps she was just misdiagnosed or something.) and I can certainly commend her for giving many artists opportunities considering she has a new model and a bunch of paid for art nearly every other week.

But, removing the illness.. What's her appeal?
She's not funny, she's just "IM MEXICAN AND LOUD!!! IM LOUD!!! SEE? IM MEXICAN, I SAY THINGS IN A FUNNY MEXICAN WAY!!! CHANCLA!" and I genuinely can't grasp the comedic factor of that. I don't think the guy she streams with is entertaining either.

Just seems like her gimmick is being a whore. And that's a dime-a-dozen it seems.

For me, I don't get the "chaotic gremlin" types. They are just annoying. I'm not into watching one vtuber girl stream a game because usually they suck ass and I'm not big into watching other people play video games (unless its a challenge run or MatthewMatosis-tier play through explaining a bunch of cool shit about the game) but I do love collabs and big events because they are fun. I say this because I can NOT fucking STAND Gigi Murin. She is genuinely so unfunny, loud, obnoxious and fucking annoying. I'll get a notification about a cool collab or something (like Mori DM'ing that TTRPG with Bijou, Fauna and Gigi) and the fact that Gigi is there just ruins it for me completely. I can't deal with her at all.

I never really watched any of them as "big" corporate streamers are usually really boring, fake and do absolutely nothing but I respect Mori for her work ethic. Her music as her previous other persona Demondice is really good and overall I just respect her for all the work she puts in from writing and making music, drawing, animating, streaming, editing, working with a huge company on so many projects. Supposedly she had a regular job in the past as well while doing that, or shortly before joining Holo. Also she lives/lived in Japan as a foreigner. I don't know how one person does all of that shit. Still can't sit through a single full stream of hers though.

Not gonna tell you you're wrong for liking what you like but given that the three categories of vtuber are coombait, moeshit and gremlin, if I couldn't watch gremlins I wouldn't watch anything at all.

It helps to approach them with the same attitude you approach lolcows, i.e. let's see how dumb and fucked up a human being can be and still live.

I can watch a clip of someone in that "type" but thats about it. I couldn't handle a full on stream
