T26E5 got an armor fix. Oh? Wanna just aim at the center for an autopen like on the normal M26? Not anymore.

Better enjoy it while it lasts.

seeing all the anti wheraboo shit in the past 2 pages hurt my heart.

tl:dw the later war german tanks werent any more unreliable than anything else in service , but given current year every idiot with access to the internet who wants to le own the natsees repeat the same 5 statements about the panther and king tiger. In 10 to 20 years papers will be written about how the german tanks had a false reputation for being unreliable just like how the sherman had the ronson reputation.

On topic:fuck gaijin i just want the maus.

I am a bit of wheraboo myself, but I like to keep it realistic. Hopefully it balances out like it did for the Sherman.

On a side note I am getting the Pershing Jumbo as fast as possible. Spookston made an excellent point about it being unbalancable, leading to it's removal ala the Maus.

Get it. It's fun. Sure, like any heavy if you're facing someone who knows what they're doing, you're going to get blasted. But I've bounced long 88s, 128s, 122s, etc. You also get an m3 90mm which is sufficiently punishing. As for uptiers I've faced many more t34s and Panthers than Patton's and Leo's, so you get plenty of bullying moments.

*Edit* Forgot to mention, you also get to combine it with 2 other pershings at 6.3 making for a really run lineup. Despite what people say about the M26, I easily consider it the best medium at that BR. It is so incredibly punishing with those M82 rounds.

If it's anything like the sheer amount of bullying I can do in the Jumbo, I'm looking forward to it.

I think it's a reliable as the 75mm jumbo....except with a much more punishing gun. It might just be people seeing a pershing and shooting center mass like normal. I don't think it'll be as prevalent as the 75mm jumbo was, so I think less people will learn how to counter it.

I'm a wheraboo for the German planes, the Fw-190 was truly magnificent compared to the flying casket that was the 109.

I never was a tank sperg and I honestly think most of you tank autists were probably bullied in school.

The air cooled radial engine Fw-190s are tied with the later p51 variants for sexiest WW2 planes. The Spitfire is overrated dont @ me

Okay, just now noticed the Char 25t gets high velocity m82 rounds. I assumed it was the same gun as the amx M4....man was I wrong. That thing just got a ton more deadly for me.

"Unbalancable". Fuck this statement and fuck the Gaijin shills that think "x is unbalancable". There are ways to balance shit for the sake of gameplay (I.E feedback from players or playing their own fucking game), War Thunder is barely "realistic" and more of "how many shitty mechanics can we introduce that estimates to RL scenarios". There should have been decompression, separation of WW2 and Cold War/Current content and fixing more shit. But instead people cave in and think Gaijin is right when in reality they fuck up more than possible. Its like what @Secret Asshole said about Escape from Tarkov. Fuck the devs and fuck their shit 'vision'.

First of all, lol calm down.

Second, stop trying to assume things about how I think or feel. I've gotten to the point in my life where I'll be happy if they actually balance this game properly, but I also don't have time or energy to be angry about something the snail doing or not doing something. At the end of the day I play this game to turn my brain off and drive WW2 tanks and planes around. If you expect more out of this game you will probably be disjointed. It's not realistic like DCS or w/e that tank one is that requires the USB key but it has more fun mechanics than WOT so I play this one.

I want the game to improve and not rely on Gaijin's mediocrity thanks.

Unfortunately refining gameplay doesn't generate the short term revenue that adding gimmicks (lol, fucking dozer blades) does.

I bet if they focused a long time ago on a really solid WW2 experience, the community would be much healthier nowadays.

Within the context of armored warfare, it's essentially impossible if you're striving for historical accuracy. All it takes is an perpendicular shot to the side to put most tanks out of commission. Failing that, there's the doctrinal differences between the countries (like how the Brits made their heavy tanks to support infantry and fast ones for hunting tanks, Germans were mainly on the defensive, Russians were designed for exploitating breakthroughs)/

So? Nothing wrong with that. I'm talking vastly inconsistent armor models, really bad map design focused on arbitrary cap circles, inconsistent damage models, etc. There is a loooong laundry list of things that could have been done to really form a solid core game around. Instead we chase new gimmicks.

Like when the Jumbo had the issue where only the top layer of front armor was counted for penetration. How does that go untested? Why did it last for an exceedingly long time? Shit like that is just inexcusable.

As an WoT veteran, the only thing that WT does right is letting you examine the armor values of your tank. But the bad map design is something that's carried over with the two other games. It gets kind of annoying how every game mode revolves around picking one out of three or four routes on a (mostly) symmetrical battlefield just to fight over no man's land. Sure, Armored Warfare is different with the PvE missions, but it's still gives off the same vibe; it's just that the you aren't punished (much) for driving through open farmland like you are in PvP.

What sucks is that WT actually used to be fun when ground forces first came out. It was reasonably well-balanced, maps had a variety of engagement methods, and armor mattered. I had a lot of fun rolling around in a Sherman on Kuban taking advantage of my gun depression and vert stabs to get tricky shots other tanks couldn't, and the turret front was good enough to bounce poorly-aimed shots.. And then Gaijin gradually got rid of all the slight slopes that would allow a US tanker to go hull-down on a reverse slope. And then they began nerfing traction more and more, making your power to weight ratio even less relevant. Its to the point something like the Abrams that can IRL chew up a 60 degree slope like its nothing by shifting into low can barely make it up half that.

The main issue with war thunder is that no matter how many people give them suggestions of how to fix the game they never will , the last time i remember gaijin changing/reverting a change was when they tried to add expirations to wagers and boosters and got so much back lash they had to revert. Gaijin just uses "balance" as a excuse to nerf vehicles people enjoy and at this point you can't convince me it isnt malicious or laziness.

It's been obvious for a few years now that they do this intentionally to try to make you buy the latest new plane.

Remember, it was a beginning promise from the beta days that they would never sell jets for money.
